I had a quick look on TPB when I posted the review but could not see anything. I got hold of it a while ago.
Cosmology: The History and Nature of Our Universe
Professor Mark Whittle takes us on a tour of the Universe from the big bang to the end of time in a series of 36 lectures requiring only high school maths and physics as a basis.
His presentation style is just right as he talks at exactly the same speed that my brain works at.
It gets a bit mathematical in some of the lectures but he changes from a light cream shirt to a dark green shirt in those ones as a coded warning.
Excellent.

There is a good link on TPB if you search for the title (I don't have my VPN at the moment so I can't post it).
Thanks for the link Luigi.
I am gonna have crack at them green-shirt lectures again and see if I can kick some life back into my fossilized undergraduate mathematical learnings!
We Are Many (2014) 104 mins.
The story of the biggest demonstration in human history, which took place on February 15th 2003, against the impending war on Iraq.
^ System of a Down's video for their song Boom! was filmed during it.
The Work (2017)
Set inside a single room in Folsom Prison,
"The Work" follows three men from outside as they participate in a four-day group therapy retreat with level-four convicts.
Over the four days, each man in the room takes his turn at delving deep into his past.
The raw and revealing process that the incarcerated men undertake exceeds the expectations of the free men,
ripping them out of their comfort zones and forcing them to see themselves and the prisoners in unexpected ways.
"The Work" offers a powerful and rare look past the cinder block walls,
steel doors and the dehumanizing tropes in our culture to reveal a movement of change and redemption that transcends what we think of as rehabilitation.

Oh, this is good. Six-part series that exposes corporate corruption, greed, malpractice and downright criminality. Probably the most fun you'll ever have at being pissed of, tbh.
Very very good docu series, filmed like a mini film festival and very illuminating insight into people and institutions like VW Motors; HSBC Bank; payday loan companies; companies that short pharmaceutical stocks to drive prices through the roof, etc etc.
The best is saved for last though, Donald Trump. The former serial bankruptcy snake oil salesman turned POTUS. Brilliant series.
just started watching this
The White Slums
Reggie Yates' Extreme,South Africa Episode 1 of 3
Twenty years since the first free elections and in the shadow of Nelson Mandela's death, Reggie Yates gets up close and personal with three very different communities in contemporary South Africa. By livingamongst them for a week, what will he discover about the extremes of this misunderstood country in the 21st Century?
In the first episode, Reggie spends a week in South Africa's largest white squatter camp, Coronation Park, outside Johannesburg. South Africa has a white population of approximately 4.6 million and during apartheid the racist political system elevated them into a privileged position. Today, however, white youth charities claim that up to 400,000 of them now live below the poverty line, with many shacked up in small, makeshift camps, although these figures remain hotly disputed.
But behind the headlines lies an uncomfortable question: are young white South Africans now the ones being discriminated against by being on the wrong side of affirmative action? And if so, will black and white ever be truly equal in South Africa?

Good ol' top quality British doc.
And that shot at 0:08....
"The Vietnam War"
Epic 10 episodes; 18 hour documentary, right from the colonization of Vietnam by the French, and post WWII's influence on the region, leading to the "domino theory" decision by the US to intervene.
I'm only 2 episodes in, but this is pretty compelling stuff. Some great (and at times, visceral and brutal) footage of the conflict, pre-war and early colonial times also. Interviews with all the main players of all nationalities involved.
Great docu, imo.

It is very good.
Very well produced too.
But as an:
I watched the first 2 or 3, but found it a bit too slow, a bit too long and a bit too monotonal to watch hour after hour . Probably better to those with real interest or experience in that part of history. Might go back to it though, as the quality is good.
Yep. I am rationing myself to 1 episode / wet Sunday only. I find stuff like this very interesting but couldn't watch it at a huge chunk / time. A bit like the awesome (ITV-UK) series; The World At War, I think this is worth the time to digest in increments as it's actually pretty important subject matter. And very well done.

Yes, well worth watching, and not a struggle for most adults.
Worth downloading in 1080p.
Not sure of Hindi subtitles.

The Putin Tapes
Watched most of this on a plane recently - sure Stone could have gone harder but then it would probably have been a 30 minute episode rather than 4 long ones.
Putin is impressive - I wouldn't take much of what he says at face value - but he is strong and he is a leader - and seems to have a depth of knowledge/ cunning that many of the current western leaders lack.
I put my prejudices aside and watched a leader doing his schtick and enjoyed it.
