^ American TV.
5 minutes of the show, followed by 10 minutes of recapping, every 15 minutes.
It is so frustrating isn't it..... Some low grade UK TV now following..... I'm not sure if it's padding or they think the populace are too thick to remember what you told them 60 second previously before a hemorrhoids cream commercial....
Downloaded Bear Grylls more recent stuff for US TV. It is painfully dumbed down compared to the early shows. They actually do a warm up where they they explain what will be happening in the next 10 minutes with some tasters and preview clips, then they run that bit of the show, then they go back over that section and show you highlights of what you just watched.Originally Posted by Luigi
Within 5 years they'll just loop the same 5 minutes 12 times.
Thankfully the Yankerikan accent, combined with dramatic drumming, isn't grating at all.
5 part series.
Bit basic, but the BBC, so great of course.
BBC documentary. How to Die: Simon's Choice.
Very touching, very personal story about how Simon chose assisted suicide.
Can be found on PB or Kick Ass.
I found it so sad and happy at the same time. Just a wonderfully, put together documentary. That has touched hearts worldwide.
And may change laws worldwide too. Not for the person who opts for it, but for those left behind who may be arrested for manslaughter.
Good 3 part series about the historical measurement of weight and time.
BBC, of course.
Used to think he was born with those eyes.
Surprised that they hated each others guts.
Sir Stanley Hooker, Rolls-Royce & Bristol Engineer
Ken Clarke sounds a bit pompous and pretentious these days but it was a big hit in it's day.
