    ^ Alright..

I just finished watching episode 1,2,3 of the Human Universe from BBC 2. Professor Brian Cox delves into the universe and how it relates to us.

EP 1 - ApeMan - Spaceman - From apes to civilization. How we humans came about.
EP 2 - Why are we here? How do we are interconnect the seven billion people on the planet.
EP 3 - Are we alone? Spooky stuff like do aliens exist.

There are two other episodes, but I've only see three thus far.

    Biology of Dads

Every child needs a father is a phrase heard often enough, but is there any evidence to support it? In this enlightening documentary, child psychologist Laverne Antrobus goes on a quest to discover why a dad's relationship with his offspring is so important. She uncovers fascinating new research which is shedding light onto the science of fatherhood.

quite interesting for fathers, and gives me a reason to explain to my wife while i'm throwing my daughter around the house..

its on youtube and tvchaos so i assume it'll be elsewhere as well.

Fathers use logic and women are emotional. Nothing new there.

If you separate from your partner, your daughter will reach puberty earlier and grow up quicker.

Not sure if this Nova documentary will play in Thailand, but it should be available in other sources if not. It is an excellent discussion of how data from earth observing satellites is being used, and some of the physical processes are amazing. Title is "Earth from Space."

The Trains That Time Forgot: Britain's Lost Railway Journeys

Andrew Martin takes three railway journeys following the routes of three of the most famous named trains - the Flying Scotsman, the Cornish Riviera Express and the Brighton Belle.

Okay it about trains but its also a great comparison to a bye gone era of train travel, the presenter is so terribly BBC.I laughed when he mentioned the approaching snack trolley the lady stop beside him he inquired, have you any champagne.

Watched it last night. A bit shit. He should try food shows because he knows fok all about the age of steam. The only bit where I agreed with him was that you cannot replace dining cars with a trolley, Those trolleys are a bloody nuisance.

Very confused, I thought that by making a simple comment on this subject I would automatically enjoy it in My replies column as an easy way into this thread..
Not so it appears, I have to go to search, is this a secret service thread?

Fascinating three parter from the Beeb about Patagonia.

Beautifully filmed, Attenborough would be proud of it.

    You don't need to comment.

To subscribe to a thread, go to just above the first post on a page, click 'thread tools'. The 'subscribe to thread'.
