If you are a bit of a science geek and are interested in energies inside clouds, how much clouds weigh, and such, BBC's Operation Cloud Lab is very interesting. A flight across the southern USA in an airship to take data puts an interesting twist on the science. Two part show.

this is all about how the neocons manufactured AQ, the why, and the how, in getting a replacement for Hope to drive the country forward and realizing that Fear was better.

    Radio program worth a listen.
A Day In The Life Of An Immigration Lawyer.

Every day, from his offices in London, Birmingham and the Punjab, Harjap Singh Bhangal gives advice to migrants who are seeking visas to live and work in the UK. Harjap often advises people from India or Pakistan who have previously applied for visas, but failed many times. Some have visited other lawyers and received incorrect advice for a large fee, while others have entered the UK legally but, due to changes in circumstances.

I watched this documentary a couple of weeks ago with my mum. Not a dry eye in the room.

About the horses during the first World War. Very touching and educational.

This is an old video on bacterial communication from 2009 and there have been monumental discoveries on this topic since.

sad to see those majestic ancient trees come crashing down.

hard work back in the 40's.

enjoyed the hell out of that.

i wish i could've shown my dad that one. he was born in 1911. he had clydesdales until the early 70's, just for showing in fairs/parades, and for farming of course when he was a kid.

had to get out of it though....an expensive hobby for a small farmer. an eight horse team of clydes tend to eat a lot....

I found this recentlly on Top Docs. I'd never heard of Aaron Shwartz, but his name will certainly go down in history.
Filmed as a historical document and tribute to his life, it's a compelling story indicative of the times.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

My War Horse from the First World War got a medal the other day.

His name was Warrior. Good on him. A great story to read. Forget the movie.
