I just watched 'Bigger Stronger Faster' which is about the use of steroids in the US (not only in sports, but recreational use by amateur body builders as well as other areas)- it was surprisingly pro-drug, which I didn't expect.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

The Man Whose Arms Exploded was another good steroid doco. Though it was focusing on all the negative effects, in most cases it was because they were using the drugs wrongly or illegally.
Another one worth watching for people who think that Mcdonald's award to the woman who spilled coffee was too much.
Hot Coffee
One thing that surprised me is after the case the temperature of MCDs coffee only dropped 10 degrees to 170 degrees. The woman was burnt at 180 degrees.
Just to bring light to this story for those who will never watch it. I found a pic of the woman's burns. Horrible. The corporate whitewash on the truth in this story is the focus of this documentary. I like everyone else thought the payout was excessive but things have changed.
Besides this, there are other caes and topics in the documentary. One is Mandatory Arbitration which was interesting. Pretty much everyone has agreed to a contract with this in it. If you have a credit card, you have agree to it. Many companies require workers to agreed to it should there be any disputes. Overall, the documentary kept me very interested in watching it.

Just finished watching this. Very thought provoking.
Some background :
A History of Scotland by Neil Oliver is great. He was one of the presenters of the BBC's Coast series.
Excellently produced by the BBC. A very good watch for those any way interested in the history and geography of the British Isles.
Not sure if you can watch it here as I D/L'd it.

97% Owned - Monetary Reform documentary - YouTube
97% owned present serious research and verifiable evidence on our economic and financial system. This is the first documentary to tackle this issue from a UK-perspective and explains the inner workings of Central Banks and the Money creation process. When money drives almost all activity on the planet, it’s essential that we understand it. Yet simple questions often get overlooked, questions like; where does money come from? Who creates it? Who decides how it gets used? And what does this mean for the millions of ordinary people who suffer when the monetary, and financial system, breaks down?
Political philosopher John Gray, commented, “We’re not moving to a world in which crises will never happen or will happen less and less. We are in a world in which they happen several times during a given human lifetime and I think that will continue to be the case.”
If you have decided that crisis as a result of the monetary system is not an event you want to keep revisiting in your life-time then this documentary will equip you with the knowledge you need, what you do with it is up to you.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
Just watched 'Beyond the Lighted Stage'- I'm not the world's biggest Rush fan, but I thought it was a great documentary:
Construction Of The Sydney Harbour Bridge
Demonoid.
well worth a watch, the sight of all those men without a safety harness in sight made my palms sweat
lot of period film so don't expect any HD footage
I watched 'Hearts of Darkness- a Filmmaker's Apocalypse' (a documentary shot by Francis Ford Coppola's wife during the filming of Apocalypse Now) for the second time- it's still pretty great- Coppola comes off as quite a brilliant man.
I just finished watching this. I downloaded it from uknova.

If you thought Thai bargirls were money grabbing..........think again.
National Geographic Untold Battle of Britain.
The story of Polish refugees who became pilots in the Battle of Britain. There were some comical scenes, the poles used to forget to lower the undercarriage and decked more than a few.
But once they got into active service they were nerveless and devastating. I didn't realise what a massive contribution they made to the Battle of Britain.
Good on 'em.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

This dock is quite interesting, its not so much the subject of covered, why westerners are getting fatter, but their demonstration of how the food industry has conspired to cause this. Not the back room deals and cabuls of the conspiracy nuts, but a very loose conspiracy of players who act together as a result of common interests and reactions to each others actions and unintended consequences

Marley
Nice little doco about the life and death of Bob Marley.
Told me lots about his upbringing, private life, his convictions and what drove him to become the biggest reggae star on the planet.
Nicely done. 8/10
