Perhaps the comedy is not what you are used too. It's very cringeworthy in it's dialogue and arrogance of it's main character, and not a constant stream of snappy one liners. Kind of like The Office, not particularly raucous, but like an accident waiting to happen. I think it's refreshing to see an alternative take on US culture on a mainstream channel.
