    Women in Rock

Rock music is very much a 'male' thing, women mostly feature as vocalists, with some notable exceptions.

    L7 have balls:

White Zombie's Sean Yseult rocks as well:

    Both early '90s.

And of course good old Patti Smith-

    Rock N Roll Nigger

Baby was a black sheep. Baby was a whore.
Baby got big and baby get bigger.
Baby get something. Baby get more.
Baby, baby, baby was a rock-and-roll nigger.
Oh, look around you, all around you,
    riding on a copper wave.
Do you like the world around you?
    Are you ready to behave?

Outside of society, they're waitin' for me.
Outside of society, that's where I want to be.

I saw them first on the old Brit tv show 'The Word'. They stripped off their jeans to reveal no knickers and definitely no balls.

Janis Joplin. The first and IMO still the best. Oops, I read the OP so she wouldn't fit as she was lead singer only. (edit)

Sorry, don't know how to do the you tube paste so link here:

Courtney is a complete trainwreck judging from the media, but she rocks out completely on some songs from Live through this.

L7 have more attitude, but I don't like their songs as much.
