Netflix reminds password sharers of the rules as crackdown continues

Netflix has expanded its crackdown on password sharing, reminding those breaking the rules worldwide their accounts cannot be accessed for free outside their households.

On Tuesday, the company said it was sending emails about account sharing to customers in 103 countries and territories, including the UK, France, Germany, the US, Australia, Singapore, Mexico and Brazil.

How is Netflix in Thailand? Anybody use it? Are they still controlling content?

I have my Dad's PW but never use it. Never needed or wanted too.

Pretty good. Doesn't seem to be missing anything major from what I can tell. Has new series and movies added regularly and old classics.

I find it better than downloading things as I can just browse for things that get my attention.

I was using Netflix with my brother’s password until about three months ago. I got an email from Netflix telling me to get my own account. I thought it was a scam…how would Netflix know my email address? Next thing you know, blank screen for Netflix. Says start your own account if you ever want to see Netflix again. Started my own account in Thailand. Is the same content. They push more Asian movies than you see on US Netflix, but all the same movies and series are available. Works great. Reliable entertainment.

What is the monthly fee here? I have never looked.

I know sometime back when it was first offered there was content control and the US shows I wanted to watch were not available so I passed on it.

For now I am a download my own content type and create my own prime time shows. I do not watch a lot of TV. Usually a few shows before I call it a day.

I do however watch ( well more like Listen) to NBA, MLB, NFL games on the pool bar TV as I am working around the place.

That is what I pay. If I understand correctly, that subscriptions allows 4 devices. So in addition to my home tv the gf can watch on her phone and she shares with her daughter. Daughter is in the village, not under the same roof. To me, we are one household. I see this as fair.

We have the 4 people account with each user in different provinces mostly. No problems so far.

With all due respect your definition of fair does not count.

I think it being in the same family is fair.

Netflix however can't police if this is the case or if it's just a bunch of unrelated people trying to get cheap subscriptions.

Had the screen of doom a couple of weeks back.

Account used in 2 province's so created a new account so it doesn't keep happening. I'm enjoying a new, fresh 'Your List' but my wife not so much.

It did you two options tho. Say you're on holiday and get a code emailed to you or change the 'home' address.
