Just saw it this afternoon, and liked it. 8/10.
It brought a lump to my throat. Has a ring of authenticity to it compared to most overhyped Hollywood stuff.
Sort of about the indomitable human spirit under adversity.
    Good acting by Will Smith.

    RATATOUILLE

I cried all the way through this movie.

Then again, I am in the Philippines, a place where the food is on par with that created by Private Baldrick from Blackadder Goes Fourth.

The Contract - Ray Keene, a father who wants to redeem himself in the eyes of his son, is trying to bring Cordell, a world-class assassin to justice. All the while, he must protect his son and evade the assassin's team who are methodically hunting them down in the wilderness. 7/10

Nice movie and has some first rate stars in it, Morgan Freeman and John Cusack.

The Host -The film revolves around Park Hee-bong, a man in his late 60s. Park runs a small snack bar on the banks of the Han River and lives with his two sons, one daughter, and one granddaughter. The Parks seem to lead a quite ordinary and peaceful life, but maybe a bit poorer than the average Seoulite. Hee-bong's elder son Gang-du is an immature and incompetent man in his 40s, whose wife left home long ago. Nam-il is the youngest son, an unemployed grumbler, and daughter Nam-joo is an archery medalist and member of the national team. One day, an unidentified monster suddenly appears from the depths of the Han River and spreads panic and death, and Gang-du's daughter Hyun-seo is carried off by the monster and disappears. All the family members are in a great agony because they lost someone very dear to them. But when they find out she is still alive, they resolve to save her 1/10

Complete rubbish, remind me not to watch a Korean horror film again. If the actors cant take it seriously how can we?

Shame the film and the real story are so different though. Found that really dissapointing.

Impulse (1990) on some UBC channel. Theresa Russell plays an undercover LA detective who's so tightly wrapped you wish she'd chill a minute so you could breathe again. This would have been a great character study had Hollywood not let the plot (which is OK) get in the way. Russell's character is a skillful cop but she likes a little too much the underworld inhabited by the crooks she's chasing. Watching her skirt and nearly cross over the edge is what keeps your heart pumping in this excellent thriller. 9/10

And the kid is also Will Smith's son. That's why the movie works so well.

Welshophiles could do worse than invest 90 mins on 'The Englishman who went up a hill and came down a mountain.'

Don't waste your time on Breaking and Entering.

Rush Hour 3. Completely forgettable, if you have seen Jackie Chan and the black guy in Rush Hour 1 or 2 then you wont see anything new in no. 3.

As in Rush Hour 1 and 2 the best part was the outtakes during the credits.

The ending of this movie was absolutely shit.

i will give 1.5/5 because i did laugh a few times.

Zodiac - A true story about the hunt for a serial killer. Got some good actors in it. Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jnr and Jake Gyllianhal and the bloke that played Goose in Top Gun. Long movie, nearly three hours. Pretty good 7/10.
