On a second viweing I have to bumo this up to 9/10
The best Shakespeare film adaptation ever I think.
Some of the critics said it was a bit grim :confused: It is friggin Macbeth, it is supposed to be grim.
It was directed by Australian Justin Kurzel.
Baz Luhrmann did the original and effective (although highly stylised) Romeo and Juliet from 1996 (with a very young looking Clare Danes as Juliet) so it looks like if you need a Shakespeare adaptation you need to call the Aussies.
