Not the same thing. That Kenworth was designed and built in America long before they built a plant in Australia. It is a classic design and the US manufacturing plant is based here just outside of Seattle as is Paccar HQ.

I would imagine the Kenworths made in Australia would be a different spec to those made in America, totally different conditions.

I am sure they are a different spec. But not so sure about the different conditions. There is plenty of desert in the US. I wouldn't think driving the deserts of WA could be much different from Nevada, Texas or NM, could it? Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Believe it or not, there is a complete thread on it ...

    Looking to the future
The T604 “Technology Truck” was launched in 2000 and boasted futuristic safety features such as a collision avoidance system, GPS and infrared night imaging sensors.
Much of this innovative technology found its way into Kenworth production trucks over the next few years as it was refined and proven in Australian conditions and applications.

Four years later the T404SAR would go on to become one of Kenworth’s most iconic trucks, combining the manoeuvrability, visibility and minimum overall length you would expect to see in a cab-over, with the traditional hallmarks of a conventional.
Flexible engineering meant trucks could always be customised for specific requirements, and design options were almost endless.

First off the comment you quoted was about the environmental conditions in AUS and the US. Secondly the link you provided is for an entirely different model of Kenworth than the ones in the OP which is the K900 model. Nice try noobie dave.
