Fell asleep in Ran. He's a bit like Dostoevsky with War and Peace, we've all seen and read bits but rarely the whole thing.

indeed, a great debut from Dillon as writer/director. It was available on Youtube a while back but since Google bought it most good stuff has been blocked.

One of the few films to truly capture the sense of sweaty, semi-ruinous, other-worldly, desperately louche and morally dubious life that pervaded Phnom Penh/Cambodia after the Khmer Rouge were ejected.

If you like Woody Allen then his Vicky Christina Barcelona was a terrific return to form. Not a duff scene in it with Oscar-winning Penelope Cruz ripping it up to a great script.

But Midnight in Paris has been the best for some years. If you prefer more vintage Allen then Broadway Danny Rose hits the spot every time.

Up in the Air with Clooney, Vera Farmigia at their best.

As Good As it Gets with Nicholson, Helen Hunt

Good film. Not sure about the "controversial and infamous" part. -Or was that just the shit-fights over the reviews on TD?

Watched my last downloaded movie last night and was bored and wondering what to look at next. Then thought maybe I'll have a look at something a bit different. Never been onto the site before although some of my mates had admitted to me they sometimes sneak a look when everyone is in bed and they're a bit bored so I thought why not. I'd never looked at it before. I told everyone it wasn't something I would look at when anyone asked me. I crept into the bedroom and checked lady cow was asleep. I knew if she caught me I wouldn't be able to talk my way out of that one. She looked sound asleep so i quietly closed the bedroom door and tippy toed back to my computer. I changed the browser setting to private browsing and turned on the VPN. Turned down the volume to make sure i didn't wake L.Cow. I'd never live down the embarrassment if she caught me. Finally found it and with a furtive look towards the bedroom door to make sure it was still closed I clicked on the video. Yes I know what you're thinking but I couldn't help it. I'd started to get excited and there was no turning back now. I clicked on the video got myself into a more "comfortable" position and turned on Neighbours, God help me.

^"Home & Away?" Made "Neighbours" look like a Kubrick production.

Watched Airplane II, The Sequel last night for about the 30th time, laughed my arse off for the 30th time too. If you want a laugh out loud movie this is about as good as it gets, there's a gag every 20 seconds and I wish there were more movies like this made. The Missus came into the lounge room to see why I was laughing so much and ended up watching it too, Thai comedy is normally visual jokes and this movie has them in spades. She just about wet herself with laughter at the guy in the toilet trying to shave as the plane was in an uncontrolled descent
