Patsy Cline. The Queen of tearjerkers. No idea if I'm following the right procedure to post a video but if it doesn't show up here just follow this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWCUh6tf7PA
A few more:
My maternal grandfather was in the Legion (he was French, not a crim) and when senility made him retreat into melancholy of some time in his past my mother would play his old favourites and this was one of them.
I remember as a tiny kid seeing my mother crying, looking at her father becoming more and more of a stranger, so whenever I listen to this I get quite sad.
I always listen to this at Christmas to remind myself of Christmas as a kid. Never fails.
I cried at the end of Brokeback Mountain when I first watched it in 2006 (at home, not in the cinema).
The following day I put this somewhat unsettling episode down to the full bottle of red wine I had consumed during the movie and attempted to bury all memory of the event deep in my psyche.
However I summoned up the courage to watch it a second time just recently and I was surprised to find, 13 years later, and only 2 glasses of sparkling white for the worse, that the ending still packs an unexpected emotional punch.
Kudos to Ang Lee. Masterful direction.
10/10
Not crying, just testing if I can make the page have a 4th different colour scheme.
Scott Walker. Smooth bar-steward with a macho baritone. Sorta makes it 'noble' to squeeze out a solitary tear. When a favourite sports star pegs it, e.g.
Probably need to be a Blacklist (and Tom Keen's character) fan to think this was a tearjerker. The song just makes it more sad, great cinema though!. Can't find it on YT, only on Vimeo which won't link like YT does.
