Saw them in the Olympia Halle in Munich in 1980.
    10,000 capacity.
But counterfeit tickets and a surplus of American GI's had the crowd in excess of 12-13,000.
Front part in front of the stage was meant for approx 1500-2000 standing. The rest seated around & above.
People fainting & passing out left, right & centre in the standing area.
I was right at the front. Standing.
Band came on as a 5 piece with 2 drummers as Bonham had been unwell. 2nd drummer was Simon Kirke (Free, Bad Company).
    They opened with Kashmir.
Even though they were on a downward spiral at this time and their best stuff was behind them, they STILL BLEW ME, and everybody else, AWAY!
One more concert after this (Nuremburg i think) and Bonham had died.
    End of.
I've seen a lot of iconic bands in my time, and that concert ranks up amongst the best.

    Duplicate post.
    Edit.
Re best drummers, yeah Bonham was right up there, but even he admitted he was heavily influenced by the great Carmen Appice - worth checking some of Appice's early work out - stunning.
