^read the rules on Demonoid... the site I use requires a 1.1 ratio and then you get a couple of invitations every 2 weeks.

Thanks, but I can't read the rules because I can't get onto the forums. Waiting to see if my mate can get the reason from the Demonoid forums.

Nobody here have a spare invite to send my way

Just found that my mate's ratio is below 1 so that's most likely the problem.

BTW in keeping with the thread, my favorite British comedies are:-
    League of Gentleman
    Fast Show
    Black Books
    Black Adder
    Faulty Towers
    The Day Today
    Brass Eye
    Just Good Friends
    Coupling
    Knowing me Knowing You

Sadly I have not kept up with more recent shows except QI which whilst being very funny, may not be considered in this category.

I do however watch our exported actors such as Eddie Izzard in "The Riches" which seems to get better as it goes on, and Hugh Laurie in one of the best Drama/Comedies "House M.D.".

Saxondale series 2 is available on the box, although you have to get each episode individually at the moment.

Also available from BT Junkie - which you don't need to register for.
    Only individual episodes too though.

Good program, though not quite up to Steve Coogan's early stuff.

Thanks so much! Sadly when I registered I never received the activation e-mail! I have emailed the admin at Demonoid, but not so sure that I'll ever get a response

I used a Yahoo email account which the site says sometimes causes problems. I have asked them to change it and send to my Gmail account, but don't know if they will.

Don't want your kind invitation to be wasted, can you see if it's been used? can you cancel it and give me a fresh one?

Sorry to be such a pain after your very kind help. I would do this via PM but being a new user my posts are not quite over 20 yet.

Ideal, with Johnny Vegas (though not written by him).

Just finished watching all 3 series. Very entertaining, with some very funny dialogue occasionally. Not revoluntionary, but well worth a look.

Johnny Vegas also had a comedy chat-show series called 18 Stone of Idiot, which had some brilliant moments.
Especially recommended to all Johnny Vegas fans and if you are not a fan, you need to check out some of his stand-up or his appearances on chat-shows. If you have seen him and don't like him, you don't have a sense of humour.

Shameless - comedy drama about a Manchester family that makes Shitman Litteljohn Orange look like a boy scout.

Yes, series one and two. Laugh out load and cackle for some time afterwards.

If you can find them on torrents, download the old Brit series 'Til Death us do Part'. I reckon it's funnier than ever now.
Theres quite a few 'scenes' available on Youtube too.

Second series was better, though maybe that was cause I was drunker when I watched it.

Anyone know where I can get a download The New Statesman series 3? (Not on a private tracker).
