The Marshall Mid's arrived yesterday afternoon, so had the chance for a direct comparison with the Bragi's.

Again, pairing was straight forward, and initial impression was of comfort and (for me) good sound whilst listening to music from my phone. As well as bluetooth, a cable is suppled if you want to have a hard connection.

The control button on the left side works reasonably well, though is slightly vague in operation (toggles different directions for volume, track, phone etc). Construction quality is very good, and they fitted tightly without being too tight.

The ports for hard wiring and USB connection are on the right ear.

Overall, they're very good, and I'm sure that I'll get a lot of use out of them. However, having started to use them to watch TV last night, I reverted to the Bragi's as for my ears anyway, they win for speech clarity and peripheral noise suppression.

^ You must be mutton mate, if youre comparing Marshalls to those Bragis. Those awful apple ibuds have better sound quality than Bragis

Why am I excited when I see that?
No, actual price paid (Lazada) was 6790 baht.

Anyone got a recommendation for the 'noise-canceling' ear-bud / plug type headphone types?

Need a pair for the gym mainly, so need to be robust design and not too expensive. Need them to block out the ambient sounds of Thai tv shows and screeching women using the gym, whilst listening to my fave chunes.
Ideally sweat-proof, or at least easily cleaned. Need a normal jackplug for the iPod Shuffle, not bluetooth. Cheers in advance.

^ This place full of half dead/deaf old duffers, possibly tapping their feet to Jim Reeves; won't be the best place to ask for audiophile advice I'd imagine.

    A quick glance at sites for the youth indicate that the best pound for pound buds out there right now are;

Bose QuietComfort 20 are the best noise cancelling earbuds, bar none, on the market right now.

Yes indeed. I just got these:

Lightweight, comfy, and really good at the noise cancelling bizzo. I'm currently dad-joking my way around the house and constantly annoying the wife and kids by saying 'what? I can't hear you!'.

I'll post the make and model later. Can't recollect just now.

    I can never understand this.

The 'net is replete with reviews from experts and 'just' owners.

Anyone looking for audio advice on here should first take a look at the utter shyte people are 'listening to now'.

Cheers, but dunno how long they'd last in my sweaty lugs in the gym.

I've seen those 'Tao Tronics' ones on that site recommended in several places.

For your needs a 'budget buy' clearly has some merit.

    About 50 bucks?

"These noise cancelling TaoTronics earbuds aren’t made for sports, they’re not sweat-proof so don’t use them for sports."

Just checked and this is the model I have:

Headphones. Using them as the Mancave's main sound system.-img_1340-jpg

I missed the bit about the gym in your earlier post though. Not sure that they'd be suited to that?

Don't think they'd be bad just that there might be better.

Also I've got no idea why all my pics keep coming out sideways

Had these for a year now, and still very happy with both (Marshall Mid/Bragi 'The Headphones').

These were good in their day until I lost the charger for them

No wires to get in your way in the gym and you can swim underwater in them.

I see PAG's Bragi brand gets the better of the reviews last year

    Good choice.

I've been using Sennheiser for music while exercising for years.

I'd have recommended them, but you said you were looking for noise cancelling.
