If you're only watching 1080p or BRRip, there was no point in buying an SUHD TV was there?

    https://tubitv.com/

Saw someone mention this on a forum, and had a look.

Seems to be mostly out of copyright stuff, but also indie and foreign language films, plus documentaries.

It says you have to register, but I didn't (although as it's a Play Store app I suppose I did really).

There's an Android app (on the Google Play store) and it works a bit like Netflix.

Pretty good considering the price: Fuck all.

    (N.B. Doesn't work in Europe).

We use torrents and Netflix....we have a desktop that uses the TV as a monitor.

Torrentday.com has been really good to us.

On my computer, I use AVG's vpn, I don't even notice it's there, it doesn't slow anything down at all.

There are a lot of streaming apps for movies and tv shows but for LIVE TV, I always prefer Kodi. There are Kodi addons which are providing tremendous live streams. But the problem with Kodi is copyright notices and I always use VPN for Kodi and for other streaming apps. Kodi on Firestick works great if you wanted to watch Kodi on TV.

i download what i want to watch from member and free torrent sites, and then either cast it to my TV or copy it from my computer to an external HD.

    is that too old school?

Exactly why I'm holding back getting one.

Until most torrents and live sports are UHD, not much point in me upgrading from FHD 1080p.

Just wish the fookers would hurry up coz I'm hanging for a 65inch 4k.

Getting seriously cheap nowadays. You see the cheaper brands with 50+inch UHD for under 20k baht.

oh yeah. The TV was a dirt smokin cheap great deal.

I have watched some 2160p movies and it's almost to vivid that it makes you feel dizzy. File sizes are Huge.

The bonus of course is I can watch my GoPro and Drone vids at 2.7k.

    Very cool.

How good is the zoom on that drone, and do the neighbours keep their curtains drawn?

    555. No zoom on my model of Mavic Pro but even if it did I wouldn't look in people's windows. There isn't anything I would want to look at or see.

That said, the recently released Mavic 2 now has zoom. I just watched some tech reviews. Pretty slick technology. I would prefer better night filming capability.

Internet providers TOT and True have started throttling streams for IPTV television and video services here in Thailand this week. Unwatchable for 3 days at home now, so will need move to 3BB / CAT if anyone is thinking about buying a mag box and the iptv system. Bastards.
