I've just looked at about 5 and they all have a years warranty and free returns policy. all those sellers have ratings next to them.

I'm a few hundred kms outside of Bangkok now and I've never had a late delivery, I don't know how they manage the free delivery especially on stuff for a couple of hundred baht.

If you buy from an overseas retailer they obviously take longer but it does give you a timeline on there.

I think that Lazada's great compared to Amazon who charged me 70 quid for some friggin books with express delivery

Every time I have looked at electrical items there are many without a warranty, I don't know how they get away with it. Returning things to a shop is much easier if things go wrong.

For example I bought a Polk Woodbourne speaker from Emporium and I've had to take it to a repair place called Central something on Rama 4 opposite the channel 3 tv building.

They also deal with loads of other companies warranties, I know Casio is one.

Anyway, they've had the fucker a month now.

Tesco Lotus will, if pressed, take back any item purchased and refund or replace.
They don't like it at local store manager level but, when pressed they accept that it is an integral part of their policy.

Indeed. I should point out that this was the Chiang Kong branch and when I rocked up with a non functioning telephone (land line type) they were initially dismissive, then confused then concerned then worried and then submissive. It took about half an hour and various phone calls and whispered conversations but finally they gave in and asked what I wanted; replacement or money back. I took the money which caused further consternation as I'd paid with an Aussie c/c. This took another 30 minutes.
But then all done.
We thanked them profusely hoping to cheer them up a bit but I doubt I'm the most popular customer there.
My wife was gobsmacked and the story soon did the rounds in the village.

Maybe the local customers will start standing up for themselves.

Got our new Panasonic from Tesco, took it out the box tested it and set it up in English etc, fuck Lazada for electricals, it's ok for small stuff, weedkiller was the last thing I got off there.

She didnt wanna go, gave me all the spiel about Thailand and Thai peopen not same; they gave her the money back though.

Apropos Lazada, I do know one bloke who ordered and received a flat pack wardrobe from Lazada.

Upon arrival he found the instructions where in Chinese, it was the wrong colour and he was sure bits were missing.
He ended up paying a local bloke to try and put it together. It took 2 days.
Whereupon his daughter broke it.

I laughed my cock off.

He was not amused and swore he'd never use Lazada again.

A year down the track he did though and got a very good price on a chest freezer, delivered to the door.

There are always going to be the occasional fuck ups with any organisation. On balance, however, I reckon Lazada are OK. Especially now you can pay with c/c.

Yes, plus for items you have not seen before they can look very different from the pics, smaller, not so good quality as they appear. Lazada is not for electricals, that's my opinion and i'm sticking to it. If you have to send stuff back it's waiting in for days for them to turn up, where as you can go to a shop anytime you want. Mrs helped a friend buy a handbag last month, turned up all smashed and the process for a credit, they would not give cash back, was so hard they gave up. Could not log in, no help from phone calls etc. It's OK until it's not. If they do refund money it's a six week wait.
