Chrome ? My browser is not at fault, nor my computer. My spare computer has the same prob, despite having XP.
But thanks for the feedback, Tax.
But I agree....my guess is that it must be some weird DNS problem that I do not understand.
if it is a resolving host problem then it is not the browser or computer. more likely the router or net provider.Chrome ? My browser is not at fault, nor my computer
That was my conclusion.
BTW, I flushed the DNS but no difference.

your first hop to your router is way too high and TD does not like too much delay between your requests and replies - it times out for me every now and again when I am using my phone as the hotspot and can only get EDGE
looking at the first 2 hops it seems as though you have a wifi AP/router and a cable/fibre modem and both the hops should be sub 10 milliseconds
as mentioned by the shocked cat - valve both of these devices and see if that sorts your problem
if not you will have to log into them and check what has happened - this is not too hard and is done via your browser
also check your computer routing table for any strange entries that may be causing slowdown because of confusion
in the CLI type route PRINT

If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.
Thanks, Baldrick. I'll be valving the wife later tonight so will attempt some software tweaking first.
have you tried resetting the ip of your computer?
cmd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
just sayin' like
No....I'm not much of a computer techie. Will try it...
(Later...
Can't do it. It is telling me the operation cannot be performed with media disconnected........whatever that means)

Capisce?
Better yet, throw the whole works in the khlong.
You're salvation will come.
It shouldn't say that, though that may point in the direction of the problem.
It's a basic command prompt (one of the only ones I remember from Cisco ccna)
Give it another try, should look like this with a gap before the forward slash:
C:\Users\Home>ipconfig /release
Hit that once, wait for the ip log to clear then:
C:\Users\Home>ipconfig /renew
After 10 seconds it will reset the ip address on your pc/laptop and put it back at the top of the LAN priority tree.
Other options you may want to consider:
Do you think you may have been miserabled..?
Have you upset Willy lately..?
Is it because the TD hardware is as last century as the software?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
