    Stremio

I've been trying out Stremio for a few days and so far so good.
The movie section has many of the latest Movies and Series section to quite comprehensive also .The Live TV section is just like the basic FilmOn package and everything works and streams OK . It TV is limited and doesn't compete with the likes of Kodi but its a handy app to have on your laptop,PC or android device if you want something to watch

Here is the download link .... Stremio - Watch instantly

And here is a nice Indian guy called Joy who will give you a quick review......

    Big Ol' Lucky Ol' Al.

But it doesn't really matter if you have unlimited bandwidth.

I have not had any problems so far but thanks for the warning ...as one report says on the link below " But you are using content plugins you cannot control what they do, apply auto update (= downloading executables and replace executables) without an option to disable. And because it is a p2p program there are some people who WILL report it as unwanted software"

That isn't the same as having unlimited bandwidth, is it?

You asked why people would stream - because quite often it doesn't matter.

E.g. I have the news on in the office all day long on Kodi because I'm not paying for the ADSL line to which it connects.

If I download stuff on mobile internet it's because I want to watch it when there is no connection, e.g. on a plane.
