^He's done a few good movies. Saving Private Ryan, Road to Perdition, The Green Mile....but they are far outweighed by the huge number of dogs...first and foremost Forrest Gump. And, he has curly hair.

    2/ Blade Runner.

Ditto. Seen the Blues Brothers many times now. One of those films that if it's on a random tv channel, you'll probably watch it all the way through again.

Blade Runner is a classic. Apart from maybe "Alien" it's Ridley Scott's best film.

It's like saying Mickey Mantle was a lousy hitter because he didn't hit a home run every time he was at the plate.

A real sleeper. Congrats on the most esoteric pick so far (not counting Baldrick's scat contribution).
I know. One should usually select an old black and white movie with a political message. I just chose a movie I liked. "Chicken soup", feel good movie. I like Sergio Leone movies, he brought some fresh air in the old western movie genre. One Upon in the West was an obvious choice but not my favorite. So My name is Nobody is my pick. And I did actually watch it more than 5 times.

How could I forget The Magnificent Seven.

    Trivia:
McQueens agent advised against his doing it because he had so few lines of dialogue. Everybody knew that he was a better as a physical actor than with dialogue. Sturges, the Director, said he'd "...give him the camera...." Thankfully McQueen took the part.

The Thomas Crown Affair (the original one of course) is one of my all times favorite. I haven't watch it five times yet but that something I intend to correct in the very near future.
