    Nice...
Easily the best of the three. Great cast!!

95% filmed in FP - in the early sixties, there was not an international airport [even in Papeete] There was a small make-shift strip on Bora-Bora where the whole production was centred around, as shipping was too slow.

Mr. Brando, being enamored with the atmosphere - purchased a couple of islands off Tahiti and sired a couple of half-Tahitian children.

    2001 A Space Odyssey

Smoked a little smoke before going in the theater which made the movie even better!

^ Yes, it was a great theatre. On Manchester Blvd. and Crenshaw, just above Hollywood Park race track. I lived within walking distance.

I once got snowed in at a hotel in northern Norway. Stuck there for 5 days with a Norge TV and VHS player and only one VHS tape.

It was The Green Berets - It was that or watch Norge TV. In those days they played on a permanent loop of Norge Orchestra, followed by Ski Jumping, followed by Langlauf racing, followed by Orchestra ........
Then John Wayne every night for 5 nights.

The Living Desert, Disney's first non-cartoon movie. Wonderful time lapse photography of the Mojave springing to life afer a rainfall. Been meaning to pick up a DVD to see if it is still magical.

My memory of the time is dim. After all more than half a century passed since then. But I believe it was Disney's Bambi.

It was definitely a Disney movie but not sure which one.

The first visit to the cinema I can remember was a Disney double bill of Pinocchio and The Cat From Outer Space.

    Memory fades that far back....

I recall The Sand Pebbles [1966] - Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, et al.

Ah.....within some military facility [Saigon] - officer's club, extended PX. [???????]

    Hell to get old.

Saturday morning pictures was my first cinematic experience. I remember watching Pathe newsreels Newsreels, video, archive, film, footage, stills - British Pathé

First real movie was Zulu. Dad picked me up from school and took me as a treat for him failing his driving test. Mum had made us some sarnies to eat.
Do not walk beside me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me for I may not follow. Just pretty much leave me the fuck alone!

Ahh, the drive in is a different beast.

My first drive in my sister and her BF took me to see Death Race 2000 which was followed by some hardcore porno....

My mother took us all to see The Sound of Music.

I was watching the Oscars the other night, and still ask myself "why"?
