    A brave man

Some pretty dire predictions from Paul Weston in this vid.

I agree with him and I'm quite liberal. Close the door and put in more requirements that force confirmation of traditional British culture. Immigrants 50 years ago and today have different values including their obligations to respect the culture they are moving into. In the pat immigrants were mostly educated or wealthy but these days almost anyone can travel to other nations and most that do are moving for economic reasons. It's just a different world.

At the same time, Europe and the west need to stop meddling in other countries and cultures around the globe. Fences make good neighbors they say but as it is now westerners are screwing around in foreign nations as much or more than they claim immigrants are screwing around with theirs. Pull your troops out and go home. Pull your operatives out and go home. Close you bases and move your navy. Get out of the Falklands and Gibraltar and the other places you 'claim' around the world.

It's going to be hard to change the situation when England is holding so tight to its traditional foreign policy and foreign lands. It can be done but the hypocrisy needs to end. Or of course the hypocrisy can continue and Britain can tighten its laws at home. Always a hypocrite but in the end who cares so long as you get what you want. It's the way of most nations and governments.

What about multinationals? Corporations, more specifically...They have an agenda as well don't they? There's a lot of generalizing in your post, some distorted views that don't consider past migrations and a fair bit of irony too.. For example migrants of all socioeconomic levels have been immigrating for centuries and a number of reasons, it's not just a recent phenomena..

It's all hypocrisy considering history and what is going on as you say, Florida. Western countries have influenced other nations the most in violent and non-violent ways and in both positive and negative ways, still right now there are plenty of laws supporting local cultures in non-western nations. I don't think change is easy without hypocrisy from the past or present. Now we are in day of the corporation as you say and that's another thing to contend with.

Immigration has always gone on. Westerners were the last to conform in non-western nations in the past it would seem. These days only laws seem to get people to conform in general. Not sure what the answer is. It would be nice to keep some things the way they are in western nations. Immigration in most developing nations is controlled as most know from their dealings with the Thai government. Why shouldn't there be more controls on it in the west. In their own nations, most developing nations put their citizens first yet most western nations treat all people as equals for the most part. Maybe western nations should think about putting their own citizens before immigrants and non-citizens more.

Controls need to be tempered though, it's already upside down in terms of bringing over spouses for example..

I'm a bit disturbed to find this video in this forum. Because if you agree with Paul Weston, and you're perfectly entitled to do so, you have to agree with Thai "racists" who want falangs out of Thailand. And that deeply annoys me because I'd like to stay in this country.

So, please, if you want to defend the purity of Great Britain, you're free to do so ... in Great Britain.

    Thanks.

The 'racism' by the Thai government is already there. Well, it doesn't have to be called racism just people trying to protect their culture and nation. If the west made money or work the only way to get visas and kicked spouses out after their marriages broke up and required foreigners to have a citizen as a partner and didn't let foreigners own land well you might have an argument. Did I mention some western nations giving citizenship to the sons and daughters of foreigners just because they were born on in their nation? A lot of western nations are giving everything away.

You'll see people of other nations protesting in western nations about those western nations unfairness, etc, some of those people entered those nations completely illegally as well. The day foreigners can protest without fear in Thailand, might be a day of change. You seem see to be willing to accept racism and abuse just so you can keep your happy life. That's you choice but don't think that you haven't made it. The racism these days is mostly found in places like Thailand. Ignore that fact if it keeps you happy.
