We got our own money back then by fishing for golf balls in the water obstacles on the golf course, we waded the dams and found golf balls with our feet then went under to pick them up, Then sold them back to the golf pro shop. We could only do it around 3 months of summer, stupid kids, . But brings back good memories of my dad asking "how did you buy that?"

For me, it was probably the Partridge Family and the Monkees ..... I obviously wasn't much into music then.

I had forgotten about that until just now.

I was 10 years old and felt very grown up and sophisticated buying a record like what teenagers do.

The youtube "autoselect" or whatever you want to call it works great for me, I search for some old disco songs and then get a list of others on the side to choose from. Another great 1970's song I grew up with.
