How many of you are there? Is this some sort of multi-nic confession?

For people who were teenagers during the 70's, and younger, it was really the transition to a new world, the 80's, with the punks having definitively buried the hippies.

But that's European history, I don't know if outsiders can really relate to that

No they don,t. I don't know much about and artist since the late sixties. I don't
like rap music at all nor do I care for classical much. I would say I didn't like noisy music but that would be a lie cause I like a lot of "Ike and Tina Turner" and also most of the "Greatful Dead". When I was younger I loved Louie Armstrong, and later on the sax, jazz player Winton Mar...(sp). I really like the voices of the Platters and Nat King Cole and also his daughter. Some nice music by Nat. So I might say I like a little of most music and dis-like a lot of it. I do like the lady on the cover of "Pump Up The Jam".

I wasn't really sure what all this was about, but it was catchy.

Donna Summer engaged my interest more than...errr...David Soul did.

Apart from your input, what it appears to be is a thread without utterly shit music.

When I went to parties as a teenager someone with a guitar would start playing this at some point.

Listening to it again... I think it was much better when we were all stoned.

When I was 13 I thought this was crap.

On reflection, only because my 16 year old sister liked it.

When I was 13 I was listening to hardcore bootleg cassettes that we used to steal from from a jeans shop in town, getting pilled up and jumping around in muddy fields like a bunch of complete spastics.

    Here we go again...
