Android Apps - Which Ones Do You Use?

Whats up fellas. For those who decided to take the smarter option, not follow the sheep, and go with a Non-Apple phone. What Apps are you running? What are the best apps for you? Why? Any good 'Thailand related' apps on the go?

For a GPS program I use Sygic. Downloaded for free from 4Shared.

I also use Sports Tracker to keep a note of all my routes done on the bike. Gives a workout breakdown (distance/top speed/fastest lap/calories burnt/etc.) Can also be used for jogging.

Viber for free calls and messaging.

Footy Live Scores (self explanatory)

Classic Words Free (Scrabble)

Al Jazeera

BBC News

Sopcast for streaming sport (then plugged into TV via HDMI)

Flashlight LED Genius

BBC & SKY News and Sport

Dropbox

You cant get you tube downloaders from the playstore, but i got tubemate from here
TubeMate | SlideME
You can just download the mp3 off it too, which is quick


Another good app is "tune in radio"

Ttorrent is good for downloading all kinds

And if you want a good annoying addictive game apart from angry birds or temple ru, then get Wind up Knight. Its good

Everrnote.. it's Dropbox for grown ups.

Been using it for a couple of years on my computers and now it has an app.. spot on.

Evernote | Remember everything with Evernote, Skitch and our other great apps.

As Android is now a Google product I think the Chrome browser is probably going to be the best one to use.. well they are all still ironing out wrinkles... as yet though it doesn't have Do Not Track .. surely an essential extra for any browsing, whatever the device. But it's coming soon apparently, you can kind of understand Google being the last to implement it. I set up a new Gmail account soley for use with Android/Play store etc.. seems the best way really as the mobile network is a hackers paradise at the moment..

I'm using Avast by the way.. you've got anti virus right..?

I'm sure there has to be some regulations brought in to restrict what is at the moment free access by apps to do just about what they want with your data and your handset.. the small print on the terms and conditions on what in many cases appear to be very benign apps is somewhat disturbing.

Glympse is another interesting app.. I haven't had a need to use it yet, but I will no doubt. Glympse
