Auto Download Your Favorite TV Shows (Mac)

Someone put me onto this new app a few days ago and I'm totally loving it.

Add you favorite TV shows to it and it automatically downloads the torrent to you user torrent program as soon as they are released.

TVShows 2 - Download your TV shows automatically

A quick download, just 3.4mb, and a simple to use interface.

Once you've downloaded it and double clicked on the icon to load it onto your machine you are presented with this.

Simply click the green "Add Show" button and it gives a pretty comprehensive list of shows to choose from.

Choose your show and click "Subscribe" and your done.

I use Vuse to download with and I just leave it open all the time. The shows that I've selected have been coming in thick and fast. I've not tried it yet when leaving Vuse turned off so I'm not sure if it will auto open it.

This makes the downloading process very simple for anyone who has not got into downloading yet.

    Enjoy

Yes, it is a royal pain to configure to say the least.

The thing I can't figure out with this is how does it know which torrent to choose? I mean; sure it's going to do things automatically but will it choose the best tracker, one with most seeders etc...?

I don't know. But looking at the speeds that mine are coming down at it seems to have picked good ones.

Which one are you talking about? TVTrigger?

I'd set it to prompt and pick the best one yourself.

That's probably the best way to do it. It kind of takes away the "automatic" element of it. I'm not complaining about it, but, I actively look for new torrents after reading reviews of programmes etc... on a weekly basis. It uses a couple of torrent sites I already use. I dunno. I'll give it a go as you suggest it might remind to download a couple of things I've forgotten I guess.

Cheers, I'll have a look at that. I don't know if that's one of the trackers they use though.

I managed to set TED up really easily, and I'm almost as clueless as Butterfuck.

Don't be daft, Marmite, you'd need a prefrontal lobotomy to plumb those depths.

The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth
