They do still exist, but they are just a lot smaller now. Still pretty big in California, scroll up to see the link I posted.

    ...but fair.

Maybe score the chicken, add the egg wash, then dust with a bit of flour so the breadcrumbs stick to the chicken a bit more.

Also guessing you did not have enough oil in the pan and added some butter later on.

    --EDIT--

Not putting the food down, I probably couldn't have done much better, to be honest

Firstly, it is not burnt it is a char, and it imparts a flavor into the steak that is fantastic. No comparison to the shoe leather you Brits eat.

I was trying to crowbar you into that post, but I thought, no, the bait is good enough and he'll reply to this one.

AND I'm gonna be having an early lunch at the pub today. I'm thinking cheese and onion pie, but should I have it with mushy peas or baked beans?

I know you lot do prefer your food dry as well as burnt though.

We do em in big batches a few times a year.

Have a few then seal and deep freeze the rest for emergencies etc.

    Great for parmigiana.

    Served with mash and gravy.
In a wrap with lettuce, tomato and mayo.
    With a bowl of hummus.
Sliced and served with น้ำจิ้มแจ่ว is excellent with some icy beers.
    Etc etc.

    A great wee versatile staple.

Your opinion on baked cheese products can not be trusted, Dirk.

    ^^ They look great, Lulu.

Posting on me phone. It only posts small ones from this.

The TD photo posting process leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Actually not the case. I added more butter to keep it moist versus incinerating the meat. I love the cooked Bread crumbs as. My wife loved it.

I must say JP that you do a fine line in salads. They always look like they are packed with flavour and remind me of the stuff you often get around the Med.
