I've heard, not sure if accurate or not, that a leg of lamb from AoNZ is cheaper in London than in Auckland. Same with wine.

    I self-flagellated afterwards . . . but the wine was a good accompaniment. A very good meal.

I believe that may be the case, with a few cutlets here costing $40+ . . . what I can say is that NZ salmon was often cheaper in Singapore and Malaysia than here in Kiwiland . . . let's not get into fruits and vegetables

That must be a rare feat at this hour, when you'd normally be casting an eye over chitty's slop.

Now that steak is my cup of tea. I bet that jus and herbed mash would go just as well with a bit of lamb too.

    Compliments to the chef.

Indian . . . . . . like most in the hospo industry now. My girls were very pleased with their choices as well; my wife had the Halloumi Cheese Panzanella, basically - charred halloumi, greens, buffalo yoghurt and pickles and my daughter had the Canterbury Venison Ribs - smoked with a sweet-ish jus and greens - also yummy.

I always prefer the Tabasco Habanero or Ghost pepper spice. I have had the others but personally way to bland. I like a strong bite to my tacos where your eye sockets sweat a bit .

I’ll need to keep a look out for those corn tortillas, never seen them around here.

    Steak salad tonight.

Where do you get your plates, Mendy?

Same in this neck of the woods.

Must have tried 4 supermarkets today looking for corn tortillas.

In the end I settled for plain white tortillas and made burritos.

Tempted to make my own if I can find dome corn flour, the Vegans have pushed price and demand up though.
Apparently it makes amazing pancakes without the need for eggs.
    Shalom

Some lamb and potatoes from the local Uzbek place - quite pleasant with a cup of lemon tea.

Went to a nice Korean vegan restaurant a while back - you would have loved it, Cyrille...

(It was actually quite tasty, and cheap too.)
