So the fries and the corn get cold while the steak cooks?

Nope, they get eaten. But yes, not ideal. I had mash with pepper corn gravy. Same problem. Eaten before the steak was ready.

^^^ Are you sure that's basalt?

I'd like to see a thin section before committing myself.

There's apparently a mobile kebab operation in Bristol called Jason's Doner Van.

Back when I was still alive a Friday night meal was a drunken kebab if I was lucky. If it was a social evening then maybe even a drunken curry with company.

Thirty years later I find myself living in northeast bumfuk nowhere. A Friday night means an extra Ya Dong with the dogs and for kicks I dress up Anna in the wife's underwear. The highlight of my days is checking how many beans have germinated and I consider an active sex life, swapping between my favourite Tuk-tuk patrol videos, so long as the gardener is pre-occupied of course.

    Where has the time gone?

And thirty years ago I wouldn't have dreamt of posting a meal on the internet. To be honest, not even five years ago...

But roast pork is roast pork.

And Mont Clair seem to have brought out a new Merlot. What's not to like?

Where has the time gone? To anyone in their 20s or 30s reading this, this is the future...

Make the most of it guys... my 30s were my best decade. Single, barely cooked a meal in ten years...

That St Mont Claire makes you maudlin .

And somehow you took a great meal like roast pork and managed to make it look like a dogs dinner of slops.

Actually DW. I think its 1 of 2 things. 1) He needs a bigger plate so he can better separate his large portions so it doesn't look like a plate of prison food or 2) Reduce the portions sizes so each dish is a bit separated and can be easily distinguished and look presentable. The healthier approach is option 2.

The Mont Claire can be binned....

Eating various salads 3 times a week now. No particular reason other than I like them.

Willy it could have been anything just cause someone said it was "lava rock" doesn't mean anything, I am starting to suspect you are a very gullible person.
