True words from NPT... but not only black pudding. I also discovered how use my circular saw to slice frozen rolled Australian beef from Makro, whatever it is.

I simmered all day... for a delicious, healthy and nutritious beef broth/soup/stew after a few Leos and Hong Thongs last night.

    Money...

^ Did you not pick up any suet dumplings on your pilgrimage?
Looks good though, even with the Brussels sprout. I could do with some of that comfort food right now

^ Bugger, I've got two packs of Atora suet in the back of the fridge but I completely forgot about it.

If this is any consolation, after a heavy weekend many moons ago, I shat on my missus' leg one morning.

    No rimming that day.

Very nice. Chitty should be along to tell you that that is not a stew because it is too "soupy". That is unless there is a little Brit bias going on.

He should be telling you that it is a bowl of slop.

One of mine that I made sometime ago that Chits called slop.

Sorry Mendy I left out the frozen peas.

Holy fuck, you Brits are almost as bad as the Russians. Pissing and shitting all over yourselves.

Not yet but he's blaming Peroni.

I'm sure once the hair of the dog has worked its wonders, he'll tell us more.

All this has reminded me of an incident many moons ago, but one that I still mentally revisit occasionally and wonder WTF happened there.

I met my darling wife in Perth, WA, where we lived for a couple of years in the early 2000s. During a period when I wasn't working I used to spend a lot of time 'up in the hills' as the locals call it, at a hobby farm a very good friend of mine had (still has) in Wooroloo, not far from Gidge Gannup for those who know the area.

Anyway, one time he was developing ginseng growing and I used to spend days on end at his farm, putting posts in, installing shade cloth, rotivating the ground etc etc. After days spent doing this, in the evenings I drove back into the city to the apartment in East Perth to catch up with the missus (or girl friend as she was then). It was a good time.

I still vividly remember this one evening. I had spent the day using a pitchfork to toss hay over beds of newly planted ginseng seeds and drove back to the apartment early evening, as usual. After the missus came back from work we did the deed, as usual. This was back when we did stuff like that... we even talked and discussed things, weird shit. Anyway, and this is the point, I still remember this one night when I went for a post-coital shower (yeah, I even did stuff like that), and after washing I started drying meself, looked down, and there was this fukkin great big tick firmly attached to the end of my bobbie's helmet.

I still remember that view, vividly... it was fully engorged and the size of a decent garden pea (the tick, that is) and I felt a bit faint when looking at it... this was really a horrible experience. I yanked it off of course and probably threw it down the toilet, but what I still can't understand... presumably I picked it up from the hay at the farm but how the hell was it still there after a bit of rumpty pumpty with the missus? And I was pretty enthusiastic back in those days, if you know what I mean.

This is still a mystery to me... was it there throughout? How else could it have got there?

It still makes feel a bit weird when I think about it.

^^ I feel a bit queasy too. I knew a Thai bird called Tik as well. Hmmmm

I've found it a real struggle to eat today.

Then thought what would Snubby do in this situation

    :USA:

Just noticed 3 cans of Bud at the back of the fridge too

Amen to that. I have never drank a Budweiser in my entire life. We all used to call it " Buttwiper"

Back in uni I must admit going through a long neck Bud phase. Just before the rise of the imports.

    Stella Artois, as it happens.

In any case, having to drink shit beer in Thailand is hardly the same as searching it out in the UK.
