^ nice, do you make a batch and freeze some? why pork, just easier and better quality than the beef?

Yes. Easier to make a big pot full and ultimately tastes better. My wife will break it up and put in the freezer in the lock and lock plastic container deals. As for beef over pork. My wife and FIL do not like beef. So Pork it is. I am Ok with it. The spicy Italian sausage adds great flavor.

That's probably a nice combo. I prefer a good beef. Like a ground sirloin. How my Gma made it. However as time has gone on, the minced pork with spicy pork Italian sausage has become a great taste that I have grown now to prefer. I will probably do a baked Rigatoni tomorrow night.

Same here...which is quite nice as I BBQ up a nice Ribeye or Filet and never have to worry myself about sharing it. She will eat pig guts and be quite happy.

Proper Bolognese should be made with Italian sausage, IMHO, not beef.

I think it’s a religious thing. A Thai lass I knew told me Buddhists shouldn’t eat cows, as they are large mammals.

I've said it before; Thailand, although primarily Buddhist is a mix of its previous religions namely Animist and Hindu before Buddhism and even today you see Hindu gods mixed (Erawan etc) in so I suspect its a hang over from that. The Mrs has no idea why she won't eat beef, she just says its been that way all her life.

The lady makes it and uses some cut of steak. I can not remember which one, and she is sound asleep, so can not ask. I made this while she was at work and used ground beef instead, a pretty simple dish really.

Looks very much like the packaged mix I used to cook up in university. Great treat and cheap as chips back them. Just a salad and some sourdough and you are ready to go.

    Looks tops.

Must be about 10 years since I've had one.

    That will be rectified soon.

The juice from the boiled broccoli was mixed with the bisto gravy granules.

Hence my manufactured name of Broccoli gravy.

Tonights dinner will be a very different affair.
