Tamimi was my regular supermarket. Carrefour and Al Othaim, although slightly less expensive, Tamimi seemed to be a bit better at stocking stuff other than basmati rice, frozen chicken, and camel shin bones.
It was the full works last night... proper English sausages, sausage gravy and all the trimmings.
Plenty of green on that plate!
In fact... my five a day, right there.
^^
As good as it gets.
Eddo's been put in charge of tonight's fare.
Prepped up a tasty wee stir fry for Eddo n Edith.
Whole monkey brain for Edwina.
There'll be luvin'
^ What are the brown slimy things on the right?
Yesterday they were known as Ice-Cream the Rabbit.
Gotta be cost conscious in these trying times.
^ You could have made a nice pie, if that's the case!
^^
Carrot meatballs are always a hit.
Pints of milk all round, now time to kick back with the UFC.
Edith and Edwina even love it nowadays. G'won Johnnie Walker, G'won The Leech. G'won Chimmy. G'won Diaz. Eddo wants a new Fino.
^ You'll never get them all through the door, fighting for those carrot meatballs!
Quasi's gonna modo.
I was planning on having fish an' chips last night after catching a brace of pla nin in the pond... but the gardener had other ideas.
He had already prepared moo palo... one of my favourite dishes.
And it was only tonight that I noticed... there's an odd number of boiled egg halves... something is going on.
I just love moo palo, even if we do have an egg thief in the household.
Lovely.
And just to show that it's not all Thai food in this household...
We have a glut of bananas in the fruit bowl just now... what to do?
What else? Banana custard was a once a week treat when I was growing up.
So tonight is was... the first fish an' chips of the season.
The first mushy pea fritter on the new hob as well.
Not the best of my career but I'm still getting used to having a hob that actually produces a proper flame.
Money...
Nice Mendip!
No tartar sauce or vinegar on the fish? What's up with that? One of the things my Brit friends have taught me is the value of malt vinegar on fried foods.
Fancied a Lamb rogan Josh, so did something about it
I see the poppadoms got scoffed sharpish, but you missed a few of the onions .
Good looking nan too. Don't go saying that to Joe though without any context.
Did you take owt home for the bread knife or was it a "men mak" when you told her where you were off?
