We’re still in a Lockdown, so there’s no dinning in anyway and restaurants and hotels have to be creative in selling food. Many have moved to the streets to be more visible. I noticed this sign the other day and thought BBQ sounds good.

went there at lunch only to find out they don’t start the bbq until 7:00pm. Great, promised the kids BBQ lunch & now nothing to show for it. Oh well, I’ll come back in the evening. So at 7pm was back there and ordered 1 or 2 of everything for dinner last evening. I’d also thought ahead and cooked some rice to go with it all.

Their BBQ is a thin metal grill. Notice how it is powered by a small plastic fan. I’m sure that doesn’t pass H&S inspections.

Above we have bbq prawns, bbq chicken, bbq lamb skewers. from go to woah, these guys took 45 minutes. Which wasn’t all the impressive I thought. When we got home I laid it on a cheese board, cos we are posh like that.

hungry family discovered that the yellow orange BBQ seasoning is spicy so they couldn’t it anyway!

    some days…

Just got back from the countryside-BBQ was also on the menu

Well seasoned mutton (my fave!), tail fat, onions and garlic.

Given that it is a cheese board, I would have said "Don't Go Brie-king My Heart", or maybe "Gypsies, Tramps and Cheese"

Half a frozen cottage pie from a shop nearby and my aunt Bessie made the yorkies.

    Raining food.

Intersting armstrong, I've never seen yorkies, they look delicious. Are they made from flour? Lucky you don't live around here, I doubt if there is a shop in Ubonratchathani where you could buy cottage pie.

I never think to grab a camera when it is time to eat. I just grab a knife and napkin. Then when I'm done I think to take the picture. So you will just have to take my word for it, they were beautiful and delicious.Dinner-dscf0904-jpg

I wouldn't take it personally. I'm guessing by how regular I get them that he's either greening or redding every single post.

You just need to use your imagination on that empty plate of ribs. They were beautiful and delicious. Anonymous forum you just have to use the honor system, believe me I wouldn't lie to you. I envy the food pics on here but I do not envy the time in the kitchen. A beautiful cloudy morning with a nice breeze and I work in the garden until she hollers come and eat, then I sit down to the best fucking ribs this side of Ubonratchathani. An Issan woman is an expert cooking on the grill, thats all they have ever known. Today when she hollers it's fresh cooked Indian food. I like Indian food, I like it better than Thai. It isn't so hot and the Indians don't mind throwing a few potatoes in a dish. Thai don't use much potatoes besides French fries.
