Many eggs to use up today...

You can't beat a sloppy, cheesy, bacony quiche. In fact the only thing that could have improved this meal would have been immoral and I would have been somewhere else.

^It's all good including simple boiled spuds with butter, a great way to serve them.

A favourite of mine. Including the cracked black pepper.

Currently, -2c outside with about 6" (16 cm) of snow outside. So I decided to make beef stew to knock back the cold.

Ohh wait, I just notice the "valentine surprise " comment. The oysters were for the "valentine surprise" after the meal. LOL
    Did they help?

Spinach pie with fetta cheese . And don't believe the Popeye "I am what I am, and that's all that I am.” “I'm strong to the finish 'cause I eats me spinach.” I should have went with the Oysters like Dillinger

Looks great, but the steak is overdone for my taste.

Exactly. Didn't even eat them in the end either.

It was a very large steak.

I could eat peas and brussel sprouts every day of the week.

Every Friday I order fish and chips from my local pub, 2 servings of fish and 2 servings of peas and hold the chips and condiments.

    But mushy peas, no?

Mushy peas with fish and chips (and loads of s and v): yes

    Mendip peas: no

Garden peas are crap and mushy peas are magic.

    Sorry Mendip!

^^ The only mushy peas I like are made by my wife and are perfect for my taste.

Garden peas, and not the local Thai grown product, are a great part of a meal.

    Sorry Hal!

^ Loy Toy is correct, sorry Hal.

But I like mushy peas as well, but never with cottage pie. Pea etiquette states that you have mushy peas with fish and chips.
