looks great, makes my mouth water just looking at it !! when we were up in NY. across the boarder in Fort Lee NJ there was a big Korean community with huge supermarkets, HMart was one of them .
we used to go there for the Kimchi, seafood, and Korean barbecue .
There is one in Orlando but that's 1.5 hours away, one of this days I will make my way there.
I went on Youtube and found a recipe for Kimchi Jjigae. I think I will try it is in the next couple of days
    Thank you for sharing.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Yes HMart is where I do my Asian food shopping. I am lucky to have one less than five minutes away. As a matter of fact the gochujang I used to make this came from there.

A break from mutton and chicken was badly needed. If you're ever in UB and want sushi come to Ikigai

Your first time? Nice work glad you enjoyed it. For me, it is a regular part of my menu especially in the chillier months. On a side note try adding some sticky rice to your bowl after jjigae is cooked next time. It is a nice addition and that is how most Koreans that I know eat it.

In my defence, this place also offers a mushrooom and wasbi pizza that is quality, so I was interested to try the kimchi one.

    But no.

Ok we've probably gone a bit retro with the prawn cocktail and crepes suzette, some could argue lamb chops are a bit old-school too, but fuck it this is what I wanted so it's what I ordered! Delish!

*Note to Mendip: When you're playing Taxidermist (stuffing a bird before you mount her) something like this will generally work better than an Anchovies pizza in your room. Wait on, you already had her in your room! Ignore this advice, you old smoothy you

Does look like a hardy meal. Love a potato volcano full of gravy . All mouth watering.

    Good gravy work, Chit.

A bit of seafood on the beach has been the theme of the last few days.

What I would give for that view now.

Did you swim in the sea?

Oh yeah. I was in the Caribbean.

We went out on a boat as well and did a fair bit of swimming and snorkelling, but I got sunburnt so had to put the kybosh on it the next day.

I'll do a thread tomorrow when I can be arsed, but the pics are all much of a muchness.

^ Sadly, I couldn't get my hands on the big grilled prawns that you get in Thailand. Ho hum.

^ I have never tasted a prawn, big small or other in Thailand that I would rate as being delicious.

Mainly farmed prawns I presume and nowhere near as tasty as the prawns you catch fresh off any jetty in Australia.

Which jetties have you caught prawns off?

I thought prawns could be caught a) with a prawn trap or b) in shallow water/rock pools.

I'm not an Aussie though and I have never tasted prawn with a Fosters and a spread of Vegemite like you Antipodean oiks have.
