...thanks, it was...and quick and easy to prepare. I'm mildly surprised no one has asked me to post the complete recipe and prep steps...

Perhaps there's little appetite to force Nonna into a twentieth reiteration.

Maybe give it a break for a couple of years and go for nonna reboot?

I disagree. It is the summer months here and I have a bounty of garden vegetables that are coming ripe. Many of the Nonna recipes are derived from the summer garden. So for me the timing is perfect you grump.

    Steaks rubbed with garlic.
    Brushed in EVOO.
Ground black pepper and sea salt.
    90 secs + 60 secs.
Brushed with melted butter and 10 seconds per side.

    Not bad.

That's great. I have lots more from the garden. This was just my daily pick of tomatoes...

Jalapeños, habaneros and a couple of other pepper types, chives, rosemary, basil, sage, several types of tomatoes, peas, rhubarb, cucumbers, and I am sure I am forgetting something.

Tomato salad from my garden. Garlic wine vinegar, EVOO, salt and pepper, garden tomatoes, onions, baby cucumbers, and basil. All from my garden but the onion (but that too was local a Walla Walla Sweet Onion. The best in the world )...

    Dinner-7ehqgsr-jpg

Then followed up with my signature Spaghetti Bolognese...

Bangers and mash...with a bit of cabbage and Colmans English Mustard on the side of course.

Cooked by my mum, and my mum loves Bisto. I'm obviously a classier bloke than that Brummie chav Dil and his boyfriend with their Bisto covered Sunday dinners, but it was really good.

Bought today by me dad... .

he even brought a peppercorn gravy with him, bless him and made the side salad.

Clearly a tad classier than your average Mosside Manc's mixed grill of 2 sausages, lumpy mash, cabbage and Colemans mustard

    Mark's and Spencer's finest

Unfortunately I didn't have the pleasure of Hals company.
No doubt we'll sort something out soon, when I've got the all clear.

I said "mum, don't cook too much mash...."

I think I'm off to the Lakes next weekend with me mum and dad and may well be returning mid October to Colombia, so let's pencil it in for the 27th.

Providing the pubs are still open and we're both Covid free.
