Go to Australia and see who drink Fosters. To save you an airfare, the answer is nobody.
It's 2nd biggest selling lager in the UK though (feel free to Google that) only coming 2nd behind Carling, which is a Canadian brand that nobody in Canada drinks.
Can we see a pattern emerging here?
^A few of us were in Houston once getting gear ready for a project in Sth America, the President of the company was a great guy who use to come out back to see us all the time for a smoke break and chat. He's invited us to his house (mansion on a golf course in a gated estate) one Sunday for a BBQ and as the majority of the 6 people were Australians, he's taken it upon himself to fill a cooler with ice and Fosters. I'll never forgive Paul fucking Hogan for convincing the world that Fosters was anything besides piss
Last day of Boris paying half of the bill so a last minute scramble for a table found us at a Beefeater, which was probably last visited when I was 9.
A pint of do as you're told with ribs (good) and dried out chicken (not so good). Surf and turf for her (very good).
Can't grumble for 15 notes for the food though.
It's been extended for another month, fill your boots.
Help out to help herd immunity. No thanks.
^^ At the expense of the restaurants.
In other words, no...the scheme has not been extended.
Lentil soup :
Saute one chopped up onion, four diced cloves of garlic, one diced stalk of celery in olive oil.
Three cups of beef broth (I make my own from neckbones) , washed lentils, salt , peppercorns, chopped up carrots, and bay leaves.
Boil for 45 min or until lentils are soft.
Serve with two tablespoons of vinegar mixed in your plate and good crusty bread.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
We'll try a bit of Thai on the table this evening. Got a good haul from our Moo Baan Veggie Seller. Spiced beef and sauteed vegetables. Dessert of mango, papaya and watermelon.

Didn't fancy cutting up that whole onion?
So Today I made Greek meatballs, the ultimate comfort food IMO (meatballs with rice in them in a egg and lemon sauce)
Easy to make:
Half a lb ground beef
Half a lb ground pork
4 eggs
Parsley
I large onion
4 cloves garlic
one cup of rice
Three lemons
Salt
Paper
Mix ground beef and ground pork well. add 1 egg, i cup of rice, finely chopped up onion and garlic and parsley (some like dill). a couple of tablespoons of olive oil olive oil, salt and pepper mix well . form into meat balls and drop in poling water to cover. In the water put salt and pepper and I like to put a couple of cubes of chicken broth powder. Boil for about 45 min or until rice inside meatballs is soft.
Separate 3 eggs (or more depending how much broth you have) and beat the whites (i use an electric mixer, but can be done with a whisk) until frothy.Add yolks and beat together well. Add squeezed lemons, and beat all together well.
Now this is an important step!! add broth from the boiling pot into the egg mix a little at the time and beat together to bring the egg and lemon mix slowly to temperature. If you simply drop the egg mix in the boiling water the egg will curdle and you will get egg drop soup. This step is a lot easier than it sounds. When the egg/lemon mix is warm , you can add to the pot with the meatballs and let slow boil for 5 min.

A tomato-based omelet that adds an unexpectedly delightful note to mid-week dining. Tomato slices sauted in butter and EVOO along with minced garlic and chilies. Four beaten eggs poured over the tomatoes, covered and cooked for a bit before adding chopped smoked ham above each tomato slice. Two minutes of cooking and grated Manchego was sprinkled generously over all and covered (5 minutes). Fresh basil to garnish: five minutes to table and served with baguette...
