Now I'm not saying these measure up to a restaurant quality yellow chicken curry - which would be top 10 on my list of favourite local dishes - but they're a tasty snack to have in your cupboard. They'd be fantastic in the middle of nowhere (fishing, camping, on the run from Rozzas and hiding out in a State Forest, etc) because even cold and straight outta the tin they're nice

Certainly to be held only in the left hand and only the back side up. Mother was not happy when any of us "shovelled peas."
Absolutely and nice description. Our family is typically German with manners of any sort being very important . . . and we pass this to our children - can't stand elbows on the table, chewing with you mouth open, talking with a mouth full of food etc...

A bit harsh, isn't it? I can see where you're coming from with the others, but surely elbows on the table isn't a big problem?

The queen will not invite you a second time if you do that at her dinner.

Yikes. Elbows on the table would have earned me a quick smack around the head from my dad, and maybe a stern look from mum.

Heh. My dad was not a stickler for manners. Camping and fishing in the mountains we boys had little manners. My Grandmothers, great Aunts and the other ladies in my family were the sticklers for the manners.

My dad was in the royal navy. There was right, and there was a smack around the head.

My stepdad was in the US Army. When he took of the uni he wanted to get up in the mountains of the western US and forget he wore a uniform.

    Yup - a quick rap on the elbow with a blunt object . . . a definite no-no.

Also, what is it with kids having a phone at the table!!?? Not ours, that's for sure . . . no big deal - we actually talk

    Sofa meal tonight.

Beef with beansprouts and stir fried prawns in rice accompanied by prawn crackers.

Dining etiquette on a Thai forum

Who sits on the floor and eats with their hands is another poignant question.

For the record I didn't red your homemade slop boy.
You really have had a sense of humour by pass if you can't see the funny side of my post.
Either that or you're losing your marbles, then again you didn't have many to begin with Twitch empire Tesla boy
