Day 8 of quarantine...on release will be spending a few more days in Bangers and then down to Pattaya.

Thankfully, my hotel allow outside deliveries. Many of the other don't.....the horror....

We had a home-made Japanese dinner last night . . . salmon belly fin (looked a lot nicer in reality), edamame, green tea udon, green tea, sake . . . really have to work on my photographic 'skills'.

Is there an award for somehow managing to post it as both a thumbnail and upside down?

    Genetic Stock: Tipperary.

Though it does look good now that the kid and Momo are holding the TV upside down.

    I'd imagine so.

    Plastic training spoons.

Good to see this personal development. I never did go for the "You can take the lad from Ballyporeen,..." spiel.

Whatever came of our mate Robitussin? Still around or pass from a chesty cough?

Ballyporeen is down south. I'm closer to Limerick Lar.

Nick is living the high life up in the Wickla mountains. Got 2 sprogs and an overactive paintbrush..

My condolences to both of you.

Was hoping for a Blue Rinse Grannies reunion tour. We shared a rehearsal studio in the much lauded late 90's underground munster-punk movement.

Anyway, there's an upside down thumbnail dinner thread in here somewhere.

Last I saw him was a metal gig in Bkk in 2010. Christ a decade ago.

    A decade.

Anyway, Food Panda, some type of Texan BBQ chicken, potatoes and slaw. Nice, no pics, be them thumbnail or upside.

Simple Thai fare. Pork steak and sauteed vegetables over jasmine rice followed by a dessert of rambutan and noi na.

At least you'll be able to go out for a dinner where you can practice using cutlery and enjoy a cool, refreshing barley based beverage with food that actually has flavor.

    We already miss Thailand.....

Wife made Sushi and an Ahi Tuna, smoked Salmon and Avocado salad with a ginger dressing. I have to say, the girl can cook. anytime we go to a restaurant we are disappointed because her cooking is always better.

. . . but going to a restaurant means no dishes, no prep work and being outside . . . but it does look like your wife is a bit of a whiz in the kitchen

The tuna looks very, very good.

You are right about the mess, and the social aspect of going out is nice but here in Florida with covid raging it's not a good idea right now.
Just retired six months ago.on top of that we are stuck home social distancing with covid 19 , I have fixed everything needing fixing, brocken much that did not, painted anything that does not move and some that does. LOL what else do we have to do? We bake and we cook.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Sounds like what we did in March/April . . . the yard was immaculate, the bushes trimmed, the pool properly maintained (though winterised), the cars were shiny and we used about zero petrol in that time - which is a shame as prices are the lowest in memory.

Now, after two months of normality the garden looks in need of some tlc (rain and cold weather - don't like either), our petrol consumption is back to normal, as are the prices etc...

Enjoy the alone time, we appreciated the family-togetherness even though our eldest studies in Brisbane and didn't make it back here as she isn't a PR nor citizen.

It'll all be over as soon as people understand that giving up a bit of freedom of movement and wearing a mask isn't going to destroy their way of life and subjugate them t the evil corporations and the nasty government . . . which was after all elected into office (except in the US, of course).

So, cook, bake, gain weight unless you do a bit of exercise and can go for walks . . . and try to enjoy

I guess you're out now... well done!

I've a friend who may have to go through quarantine sometime in the future and he was asking if it would be possible to have a guest stay as well... what do you think after your experience Jofrey?

This evening, spiced prawns and vegetables. A bit disappointed in the size of the prawns. Our Moo Baan vendor usually brought some good sized prawns. Seems less folk are willing to pay for the larger sized and he is leaning more to the medium. Dessert of malagaw and longan.
