Only one type of potato, but I reckon roasted is the best.

And the never-ending battle to get veggies down the daughter.

As for another thread... all I can say is that if my wife provides food for our daughter it will invariably be kai jeow with rice or chicken with rice, and not a vegetable to be seen. Fruit no problem, but a scarcity of veg would be eaten for sure.

    Sprouts: Yes!
Funny how I wasn't keen on them when I was young. Love them now, especially fresh. The frozen ones are just okay. It is a while since I had fresh sprouts.

    Nope ribs.

Though now you've mentioned it I can see it so they are oddly duck-looking ribs.

It was the colour of it and the way the skin looks. Looks very much like how Thais cook their ducks - a particular way of cooking it in Isaan, anyway.

I'm very much in the mood for some pomelo right now. I love it. But I haven't got any!

Ok, I can see how anyone not living in Isaan could have mistaken it now.

Great stuff. A different meal for a different mood: Mendip's roast, Ant's BBQ and Bowie's Thai.

Roast beef joint, new potatoes, mushrooms and mixed peppers, with a red wine gravy.

A branch of Better Burger has opened, I did not know the was even a chain. Anyway, around 5USD got this, an extra plate of fries and a coke. A little cheaper than Burger King, closer to home and much much better in terms of meat quality, even if the patty was on the thin side. Veggies were nice and crisp and the swiss cheese was better than that plastic garbage.

I'll be adding it to the list of decent places to eat when I am too lazy to cook.

Damn, that looks good. I got food poisoning from eating lamb on an oil rig off Vietnam in 2015 and have never had the urge for lamb since, but I think it's time now...

Interesting. No wonder that hobbits were conceived from English culture.
