^Can understand having done Keto a few times. It really works and the weight comes off fast but it's not for people who enjoy a balanced diet with lots of fruits and veggies. Great for the short term, would be extremely difficult to stick with for much longer than a month or two..

    Yep that's pretty much it.

Really the only diets that work are the ones that you can make a part of your lifestyle and anything that excludes certain food groups is by definition not a complete diet.

All that being said I still intend to eat a lot of steak and bacon!

The premade dinners like Paleo gave me an idea. DIY meals made for later. I made up this lasagna before 8 am while it was cool. Leave it in the fridge to pick up more flavor and an easy meal tonight. A light salad and some garlic bread will fill out the meal.

I'm taking marks off for onion rings on top.

Just bechamel and Parmesan for me.

There are no onion rings, must be an optical illusion with the grated mozzarella

    This looks good.

Perhaps a sprinkle of dried herbs on top.

I do that after cooking as the herbs would brown in the last 10 minutes when I uncover the lasagna. 35 minutes covered and 10 to 15 to finish the top, then while super hot add oregano or an Italian spice mix, which is what I use..

Fresh herbs might add more zest and mingle better.

Jeff, shut the f&^k up. I know of few places that carry fresh oregano which is what I would use.

I can put up with your platitudes on other threads as I am well used to them... But on food you have never posted up one dish you have made. Put a few up then comment. Otherwise I wonder why you speak up.

It would be like Bsnub commenting on the joys of Isaan food and cooking. He knows nothing about it, hence he keeps his trap shut. Try it mate..

Getting near time to put a lock on the kitchen door for you.

A most palate pleasing dinner this evening: fish and coconut curry served over rice noodles (Khanom Jeen Nam Ya) with a chunk of norwegian salmon, some Isan fermented sausage and sauteed chives. Dessert of ngot and apple.

The amount of decent food here in UB surprised me during my first few weeks here and is very welcome in the long winter months.

Wonder which one your sirloin came from. Angus is all the rage here now. Always noted on the label.

Edit...Charolais were big here back in day. Haven't heard much about that breed of late.
