    The pan above I bought through Lazada. Through looking for some other items I came across this supplier that has a much greater range of products than offered in Lazada. Couple of days ago ordered a few accessories which have just arrived. For those of you who are looking for decent cooking kit, this might be of interest: Shiwa Store | Shop Lodge Cast Iron

    The lid fits great, though with the pan itself, a pretty weighty piece of kit.

    ^ Excellent. I'm pretty sure this time we are not gonna witness a bad tradesman blaming his tool

    Ordered seperately but again just arrived, a silicon handle cover (needed as blistered hands make you look working class.......).

    Looking good and smart for getting the handle holder as those handles get wicked hot.

    If I'd have got a Lodge my steaks would have come out fine. Konigs are a whole different proposition!

    I told you but you decided to be a cheapskate. You can still save that pan but you will have to season it. Lodge pans are pre-seasoned.

    Who was it that was posting about Paleo Robbie's the other day? Can't remember. Anyways I've just ordered up some of their pre-made meals and I think they'll be delivered today so I'll report back on them in due course.

    Ordinarily not something that I'd do because I don't mind a spot of the old cooking myself and my wife's pretty handy but I've got to do something to break out of this carnivore trap I'm in where eating bacon and steak all day every day has become routine because it's so fkn easy and so fkn delicious.

    Go buy some inexpensive chicken take some oil and fry up a bunch of it. That will help start the seasoning process.

    I read some reviews of their frozen meals some time ago and can remember them all being very positive. They put quality over price on everything else they do, can't see why pre-made meals would be any different.

    Nice one. Yeah they're a pretty well set-up and run Co. from my experience with them so got pretty high expectations.

    Plus I ordered a range of them because there's bound to be one or two I prefer over the others personal taste-wise.

    Went with:

    Buffalo Chicken Bombs;

    Avocado Chicken Carbonara;

    Marinated Chicken with Creamy Mash;

    Swedish Meatballs; and

    NZ Beef Chili Con Carne.

    Got pretty high hopes for the Con Carne and Chicken with Creamy Mash!

    Does doesn't it!

    Here's a sample pic of the meatballs from the website. Doubt it looks quite as good in reality plus I'm a shitty photographer:

    Well my Paleo Robbies order just arrived and first impression of the pre-made meals is that they're a lot more substantial than I'd thought. Actually quite heavy so clearly a lot of food, maybe even more than I'd normally eat in one sitting. Frozen obviously but they look pretty good and as advertised:

    Most likely me. Bit of a convert. Not really for the whole "Paleo" side of it, more just good quality food stuffs. Think I was raving about their steaks.

    Probably time for another order. I have read that the portion sizes on the mals are very generous, but not tried any yet.

    Yes so it was.

    And agree totally with the rest of it too. Personally I think paleo is a load of wank cobblers but whatevs, they do amazing food with great service!

    Just the nagging feeling that eating nothing but steak, eggs, cheese, bacon and salmon probably isn't good for you in the long-term.

    Also I miss apples. It was a fun experiment that just went on a bit longer than initially intended.
