Not nearly enough gravy on there. Next thing you'll be ordering saveloys and wearing winklepickers.

I'd also serve the durian...in the bin. Where it belongs.

^ Looks nice. How did you do that steak... in a skillet?

What do you reckon about those crinkle cut chips... I just don't see the point. I always go for the big 10 to 20mm normal cut chips.

Everything else being equal I go for normal cut, but often one or the other will be on promotion.

^ Oh well, it's too late now!

I've got a ribbed pan at home but I always like a fried egg on a steak. Try scraping a fried egg off one of these pans... it ain't easy.

I made a couple of quiches today... one for the freezer, one for tonight.

I seemed to have done a few more peas than necessary.

    Delicious!

And pudding... vanilla choc chip for the littlun, mint choc chip for me. And a bowl of longan to make it healthy!

This ice cream tasted just like a mint aero and was superb. It brought back memories of mint custard and chocolate sponge cake for school dinners.

    First Yorkie in some time...
Then ended up at a bar for some cheese and nibbles, dinner was a backwards affair tonight

Breakfast tomorrow will be a miserable hangover, oh well.

Forgot to put these up last night. Bacon wrapped meatloaf, old comfort food, mash, onion gravy and some sweet corn kernels. Yummy.

^^Assuming he's used the broccoli cooking water as the liquid to make the gravy, but don't think there's be much flavour in it like there would be in pan juices?

    ^Fuck! Yes please!

Seems odd putting gravy on a ribeye.

Certainly never 'drenched', although he probably just doesn't know what that means.

It's a tough question with no one correct answer. There's a reason so many steakhouses offer the typical range of sauces/gravies with their steaks (Diane, Peppercorn, Mushroom, etc) but TC stipulated good steak which IMO really needs nothing more than to be nicely seasoned with S&P and have its resting juices poured back over it.

But, I like things like Mushroom gravy a lot and it goes so well with a good steak
