^^^ Great! So a cast iron skillet it is (and I had to look up skillet on Google). They have them on Lazada.

^^ Then follow on with HW's wonderful advice.

    What can possibly go wrong...

12/ Have a bottle of half decent wine handy in case of disaster

Just whipped this up from scratch. I like to cook in plastic. Adds to the taste.

Just made some "chips" in the AirFryer; tried a couple of different variants.

    Good devices these AirFryers...

You'll find a much better quality of cast iron ware within your local markets.
Give it a go. Might be surprised.

Cast iron isn't the only way to go, but you have to have something that's heavy with a thick base that will hold its heat. Thin (cheap) skillets have hot-spots and don't hold their heat evenly, not what you want when cooking a good steak.

I love cast iron but if I can cook my steak outside on a grill that is the method I prefer. I cooked a steak this week on my cast iron grill pan and man it was super hot. It cooked the steak so fast that I over cooked it when I cook outside I have a better time of knowing how fast the steak will cook.

Lobster anyone? Little bonus From Don T....

Had these shipped up same day from down south. Lady showed us Vid of weight and that they were alive as she packed them in the ice. Arrived perfect.

Got them all trimmed up and on the grill

I had mine with drawn butter and a wisp of Paprika, My wife chose the Thai garlic, chili, onion lime sauce.

I want to personally Thank Donald Trump for his caring and sending me the checks personally. I mean he had his name all over the check according to my Dad. He is a Helluva a good guy....

That looks fantastic. Sorry that your check took an extra week to arrive due to having the orange morons signature.

Yeah I was a little perturbed by that delay pulling them all back so he could put "This Check is brought to you by Donnie T and his band of misfits" on them.

^I ordered a 10"/25cm diameter Konig cast iron skillet from Lazada today. I considered looking in the local markets but it's raining, and also, after so long locked down and not leaving the house it seems a bit daunting to go out shopping.

Hopefully a good steak coming up next week once it arrives!

It looks like a brutal piece of kit, I'll certainly hide it when the wife has a drink.

    Very nice JP.

I found a place that does Chicago Deep Dish.

Ours was direct deposited, didn't get the autograph. We have it on hold so I can pay the taxes on it next year.

Read up or look on YouTube to learn how to season it before it's first use, and care for it after each use. Most important.

Buy a fat pack of bacon and throw it all in. That will let the pan season.

Nothing to do with cast iron but I read somewhere the other day when 4esearching someones French omelette, that you should always buy cheap non stick pots and pans.

We brought our two TEFAL pans with us in our luggage. By now they're probably a couple of years old and still in great shape.
