The one and only time I had one of those apple pies it took the roof of my mouth off. Like eating molten lava.

    But the burger looks nice!

^ i've had a worse experience after ordering a pineapple pie in Thailand when they'd put one of their corn pies in there instead.
Could have been worse, could have been the broccolli one

Yet another of my duties appears to be defrosting the freezer. This I duly did today and found a small slab of sausage meat at the bottom. What to do?

Hang on, we've got a shed load of eggs in the fridge... Scotch eggs it is!

We had Scotch eggs once a week, along with eggs in cheese sauce, when I was a kid, until my dad developed high cholesterol and me mum stopped all that stuff. I've now developed high cholesterol and the frying pan never cools down... makes yer think!

I hard boil 10 bantam eggs and try and wrap them in sausage meat... lots of bad language - has anyone ever tried doing that? Me mum calls out of the blue for a chat while she's self isolating, and Scotch eggs comes up in the conservation, and she says why ever haven't you coated the eggs in flour? This I did, and hey presto... 10 perfect Scotch eggs are the result!

The wife made a rare appearance in the kitchen and advised me I should use this strange round-bottomed frying pan. Good advice as it happened...

^ And yes, I'm aware the hob isn't the cleanest... just hope it's on next year's cleaning schedule.

Scotch eggs, chips and beans... just like the old days. With a few of SKkin's cheese sticks for the littlun!

Not bad at all... but very filling! The cheese sticks were rubbish!

    And the money shot...

^ Classic dish, chips and beans. We used to have sausage, chips and beans at school instead of the Scotch egg though...

...sometimes with an egg on top if it was at home or in a caf...

...and a gravy boat on the side, of course.

That is incredible - is this real, not a joke video? Don't get me wrong, I occasionally enjoy Mcdonald's - emphasis on the "occasionally". The inherent and overlying flavor of McDonalds' food tends to precipitate nausea if overdone.

There is a restuarant -Kynsiaukka, or at least there used to be one, in Helsinki where the whole menu is based on garlic including the desserts - garlic icecream
