So you think possibly a cress salad is made with something other than cress?

Fucking hell. The special people are out in force today.

    https://www.collinsdictionary.com/di.../english/salad

A salad is a mixture of raw or cold foods such as lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes. It is often served with other food as part of a meal.

See the word "mixture" there numpty?

^ this Covid-19 is having some unpleasant side-effects: spending this much time with Cyrille and Mr Sausage is dire...

Trouble is... I don't know what to do with it all. I'm having bladdy cress with everything!
TBH, Mendip, I think Mr Cress is getting the better of that deal (and by some distance!). The carbonara looked very nice.

I know it's lunchtime, but as we are talking salads...

Just finishing off watching season 2 of Hap and Leonard with the salad and a cranberry juice.

We used to grow cress in a jam jar or something back in Primary school, as I vaguely recall one of my earliest memories.. Never tried eating it though.

Never heard of cress, but looks just like sunflower sprouts which are popular around my area.

If you have a boiled egg, afterwards you can wash the egg, draw a face on it and then stick a bit of soil inside. Plant some cress and when it grows it looks like hair!

I have fresh tortillas in the house. I just grew up with the hard shells. Sorry but that is what mom made for taco night.

I must admit, I feel slightly foolish now.

While feeding our street pack tonight I was given another big bag of cress... and was thinking bladdy hell, I'm not half way through the last bag yet.

When I got home I thought I'd take a pic for this forum, and actually read the label...

It certainly looks like cress... now I realise why the gardener was saying, 'sunflowuuuuuurrrrr'

So, apologies Mr Nidhogg, I did in fact make a sunflower sprout salad!

But WTF do I do with all this stuff?

Add some other veg to it for starters(see post #22502) add tomatoes, peas and some of the shit you'll see a normal Isaan wife scavenging off the land, hold the beans, make a vinaigrette and have salad for your tea for the rest of the year

^ ... and just watch the weight fall off!

You call it 'tea'... I love that.

When I grew up it was breakfast, dinner and tea. None of this fancy 'lunch' nonsense.. that was for posh people.

Dinner was a proper meal at the middle of the day and tea was bread and jam.

Well, you put some sunflower sprout seeds in a bowl.

    Nice looking table!

You dumb wankers should know that the only wild salmon fishery is on the west coast of the US.

You lot fished yourselves into nothingness.

You have no connection to the fish or the sea. I am the last in line.
