James Bond Island.
Some of the food on that plate looks like it has a license to kill.
Gruinard Island?
Felt like a burger and thought I'd struggle to find one in vumfok Phrae.
Thank you googen maps.
Wasn't sure what that thing on top of the patty was. Thought maybe a potato hash brown thing like the KFC Tower burgers had.
Pineapple fritter obviously.
Just needed to scrap off 700kg of mayo and that was delisherous
A variation on a familiar theme tonight...
I caught a couple of lovely pla nin this afternoon for tea, and cooked 'em up meself!
I don't know if this has ever been done before on Teakdoor... fish an' chips with a trio of peas. Yes... a TRIO!
Pla nin out of the pond, chips, garden peas, mushy peas and a pea fritter! I really like the contrasting greens.
I've never successfully made a mushy pea fritter before, but this one was outstanding (in my opinion).
And the littlun even had a few mushy peas on her plate! (she didn't eat them mind... the little bugger...)
^ you have properly surpassed yourself Mendip. I reckon a Pea Kiev with a bread crumbed pea fritter hollowed out with Garlic Butter and you can retire....
Mendip, how well do you think Plaa Nin works in batter?
It looks good.
Is it bony?
Cyrille, fresh water fish will never have the flavour of cod or haddock, but when starved of choice pla nin, or better still, pla tabtim, make a very good replacement, in my opinion.
So long as they're filleted properly, no bones at all!
A weekend fishing trip in Isaan
I don't know how to link to a page, but look at Page 22!
Thanks MOD Dill

Been too busy drinking but wanna get a Doctor fish, which like Jeff, thrive on fecal matter
Golden tenches are beautiful golden-colored fish which are sometimes called “Doctor Fish” because of their tendency to prevent other fish from getting sick. This is due to their protective skin which contains a powerful antibiotic and prevents many fish-related illnesses. This skin not only protects the Golden tench itself, but also the other fish living nearby. For even more added convenience, Golden tenches eat the excrement of koi carps, so it’s a great idea to get these two fish together in the same pond – not only will the Golden tench keep everyone healthy, but they’ll get rid of the mess too
Just googled that Fromunda cheese
