    Nice KT and Dill.

Ordered some mega combo deal at the pub without really looking and ended up with a sizzling Steak in bbq sauce with 5 chicken wings surrounded by peppers also a double cheese burger with bacon and fries. Not bad for £7, did get a few fat bastard looks from other diners.

Alas the sun showed it's face which is a rarity in this neck of the woods and fvcked my picture up.

Did you turn your new pearly whites on the onlookers or didn't they dare make eye contact with someone who looked like a jihadi

That meals looks fantastic - and look how perfectly those chips are cooked!

Everything about that makes me feel good (and hungry, and thirsty...).

No photos but I could murder sausage, chips, peas and gravy now. Or cheese and onion pie, chips and curry.

Why has Thailand never had a good chippy? That one at the top of Cowboy was probably the best it got. Is it still there?

Knocked this up in a few minutes last night.

Stir fried beef and beansprouts in Oyster sauce.
Added some spring onions and corriander with a couple of drops of Soy/Sirachi Sauce.

    Tasted real good.

I don't normally do requests... but how could I not rise to a challenge like that. It includes my speciality!

    Bogon Tip #1209

Next time you get the reduced stuff, carefully peal the stick off at home and save it for your next shop and you too can have a fillet steak for 99p.

555! A sterling effort, but the peas need to be mushy!

I presume you had 2 slices of buttered Warbies on the side too?

^ That's a shame, I've got a tin of Batchelors mushy peas as well!

And I had to look Warbies up... still none the wiser... crumpets maybe?

^^Warburtons bread. But they make great crumpets too which you can get in Villa. Its the Mancs answer to their ferret felching neighbours Hovis... bread wi nowt taken owt and extremely porous to soak up lashings of bisto on chips

    Hmmmm. Decision of the day

^^ That bread of yours has some shelf life!

That's also a shame... I had a loaf of the daughter's Farmhouse white sliced as well...

Could have made the perfect northern meal with better instructions.

I randomly stumbled over this the other day. Personally never heard of it:

    Toast sandwich - Wikipedia

A toast sandwich is a sandwich made with two slices of bread in which the filling is a thin slice of toasted bread, which can be heavily buttered.[1][2] An 1861 recipe says to add salt and pepper to taste.[1]

Been having more and more of this the last month or so.

Maid's away and too hungry to wash the wok, so in the one clean frying pan that's left.

    EVOO
    Crushed Garlic
    Sliced Tenderloin

    Then after 1 minute

    Sliced peppers and onion.
    Dollop of Teriyaki sauce.

    Full Lulu for 20-30 seconds.

    Wee bit o' rice.

    Deelisherous.

^ a household staple, but the wife marinates the meat overnight to help tenderize it. It is nice.
