    Fucking knew it! Not with that Brexit voter shit, no.

    The last person I knew who would regularly eat English chippy curry sauce was my gran and she's been dead 10 years.

    I'm in the process of R & D testing my wife's newest range of Indian curries and last night was Chicken Jalfrezi.

    She has changed from using chicken breast fillet to chicken thigh meat which is tenderer.

    She has also established a source of imported Indian herbs and spices which does make a big taste difference.

    The result = Absolutely superb. Medium spicy and the dessert being blueberry cheesecake was perfect.

    Tonight = Tenderloin Beef Masala Curry + Strawberry Cheesecake
    Monday = Chicken Madras
    Tuesday = Chicken Vindaloo
    Wednesday = Chicken Rogan Josh
    Thursday = Chicken Dopiaza
    Friday = Butter Chicken
    Saturday = Tenderloin Beef Curry Samosas & Roti with pub curry dip.

    So far so good!

    Done. When are you next in Pattaya Chitty?

    Well there is a lot of competition re: Indian Food in Pattaya and I have field tested most on offer. In my opinion my wife's Indian Food is the best by far but more expensive.

    The only problem is pricing and if you are using proper ingredients it is impossible to make a 400 gram serving for under 100 Baht.

    Break the price down then mate.

    I cant think of many things cheaper to make than curry. Its cheaper than making bolognaise here. What am I missing ?

    We are on India's doorstep and use locally grown chicken and curry powder so why are all the Indian restaurants priced up more than I'd pay 10, 000kms away in the UK?

    We have including the support of an experienced farang chef from the breakfast club forum.

    Not to mention imported ingredients are not cheap.

    Add the packaging, label and delivery costs and there you go.

    She's really busy with the Christmas Puddings at the moment M8!

    Peter from the Brasshouse, Mick from the London Inn & a number of others have told me they are the best puds they have ever had.

    My son is in charge of running Little Aye's business and the delivery can be made by him.

    I'll be there for a few beers if you are up to it.

    Where and when?

    I just remembered last year your Missus mince pies were the nutz. I ordered some and you brought me 6 minced beef and onion pies

    You can only eat ONE Xmas pudding, compared to a hundred mince pies. Sort that shit out

    Great fucking question!. It's always bothered me how much Injun food costs here, more so as the serves are generally small so 2 mains are needed to fill up + some naan bread on the side and you're easily pushing 600++ Baht for a fucking curry!. I know what chicken/pork/prawns/veg cost here, the spices added must all cost the same as fucking Safron to turn 50 Baht worth of fresh ingredients into a 280 Baht curry 10 minutes later!.

    BTW, I'd rate Masala Twist as the best and most reasonably priced Indian resto in Jomtien right now. It's very good.

    ^ i was just gonna mention Masala Twist near you. Heard some great reviews. Let a friend down the other night who wanted to go without drinking beer. You cant eat curry or go the curry house without your best head wobbly ordering voice dollowed by the squits for three days.

    I see they are on Grab delivery too. How can that business make money by charging 19 baht delivery fee.

    I asked the wife that in one of our few conversations this year and it came down to volume and Thai wages. But still, the petrol costs, scooter insurance and maintenance and wages would offset that?

    I'll have to try that place as I respect your recommendation.

    My wife's costing for a 400 gram Indian chicken curry with proper imported ingredients, rigid packaging, shrink-wrap and waterproof label is 100 baht.

    I know some people selling 300 gram Indian curries for 80 Baht served in plastic bags.

    Anyway although she lost some business to these other suppliers but former customers are returning with a vengeance because of the taste, quality and quantity.

    ^^Definitely try Masala Twist, I've been 3 or 4 times now and can't fault it.

    Yeah your Missus is right about why delivery costs are so cheap, or such a gouge when you think about what some delivery services have charged in the past but can't get away with now (hello Door2Door, or should I say goodbye). We have our drinking water home delivered, 6 packs of 1.5 liter bottles and 12 packs of the smaller ones. Normally get 10 of each and the delivery team of 3 people get 1 Baht per pack so their 3 way split is 20 Baht to get the water to my door. I guess they deliver hundreds of packs per day and the volume adds up, but I tip them well and it's easy to see how much they appreciate that.

    Don't eat lamb enough to justify searching for it in Nan. But might checkout Makro for January since I've still got a couple of roasts in the freezer, or get my sister to bring some from Australia on her visit.

    Tops stock Mint Sauce. They stock quite a few Waitrose products. If you don't have one nearby you can shop at Tops online
